I'm aussie and i've been having problems on USW lately, any explanation?

Well yeah i'm aussie and normally i get 230-280 ping in every game, the past few days i've played probably 10 games over multiple of my sub accounts and i've been on 330-400 ping every game, I've rang my ISP and changed my router to a spare, ISP thinks it's nothing on my end, just wondering if anybody else is having issues or if it's my end

30min ques at 1500 bracket, I don't even want to know what the ques are for 1700, Any other option ?

You gotta stop playing on u.s. servers. they are for people in the united states region. they dont want your lag and neither do you. the more of you that play on your own servers the less your queue time will be.

I'm not waiting 30 minutes to que on a 1500 account on AUS servers because i can't play on my main.

on topic, i want help with my issue, not for people to tell me to play on AUS servers that crash and dc all the time.

I find that some lowish USW servers are laggy (like 1-20) and the higher ones are much better.
Also remember that sometimes Australia as a whole just has a "bad net day". One thing goes wrong at telstra or optus and most people are borked.

The long queue time on AUS server is because mostly every aussie think like you do. In my humble opinion you guys should get yourself united and pick a day where everyone would queue with aus server.

I clearly remember how many months if not years the aus community requested a server there and now that you guys have it.. You dont play ;|.


About your question : I think its a route problem. Ask arround and see if any other assuie who queue on US also got the same issue as you :3.

i think its been said that there aren't enough servers to play on, not low population. Also, i have the same problem as OP. In the last month i suppose my ping to usw has gone from ~200 to ~400 and my EU ping has gone from ~300 to ~600. Seems odd because nothing has changed with my internet.

people who say play on aus servers obviously don't know what they are talking about...
even on the aus servers there is sometimes a delay.

Ping is effected a lot by routing. It is very likely that the route has changed to a less favorable one that is cauing an increase in ping. Most of the time there is nothing you can do but wait and hope for a better route. I would be using tracert to see where the increase of ping is. If it is within your isp's range then you might be able to complain. If it is outside of their network that the ping increases there is not much that can be done except hoping the hops that are defective get repaired.

I don't like playing AP or Core Pool only, if you opened up the other modes more Australian/New Zealander players would play on the AUS servers
