After the rework, he is a very different hero. I have been playing him in TMMs, he seems to be able to dish out a lot of damage and be very useful for his team.
A brilliant counter initiator against heroes like Behe/Lego/Magmus/Tempest/Pyro etc
Any pro-advice on how you build him skill wise?
Any specific items that make his a force to reckon with?
My skill build:
I almost always go QEQEQREQEWR ----and so on
I feel he does not have a great mana pool to spam the orb (W) early on.
Items:
Early Game:
Steamboots-Tablet-Grave Locket-Mana ring/Pwr supply (Core)
Late Game: (Suggestions please, I am really confused here)
Hellflower (Because he cannot farm very fast, and this has an easier build up. However I think he already has so much atteck speed that I should buy something else)
Can you guys suggest effective late game items on him?
Or how you could farm quicker with this hero?
It's almost crazy how much damage he can throw out with his orb-effect, I played a game last week, were i was sil and i had a vindi on my team. Ofcourse i conciderd myself as the hard-carry and took all of the farm. I was around 400+gpm. And had like 4-5 levels on my teammate (vindi) and so in a teamfight, I had Null - PK - SB (level 1 or 2), i attacked them like crazy, not doing amazing damage on their "tanks" (devourer, and another tanky hero, cant remember), but if you would look on vindi's damage (orb effect), it was HUGE compared to mine, and the only item he had was a tablet! (except grave locket and tablet).
OT: I guess he would benefit from almost every INT+ item out there, if i had good (not SUPER farm, 350-400 gpm) I surerly would build Steam's, grave locket, tablet (depending on the enemies) and for more late game i would buy hellflower, frostfield-plate/hex, even maybe a null. All depending on the enemy heroes.
Oh, and btw, he's new Q-spell makes him farm alot faster than before I think.
Im not a competetive player but here's something I've figured out.
Reworked Vindi requires some farm and a support (or mid?). Without farm he is more useless than old vindi but with farm he provides alot dmg. He is slow and has no escape, so without a stun in the lane he is easy food for enemy. The new vindi doesnt need to be as tanky as old one, so you should build him with max int items.
Tablet of command after boots and then hellflower or Kuldra (The Core). After that I could see one picking up some supportive survival items like astro, barrier idol, shrunken or sac stone. If superfarmed maybe pick the missing CC item.
I wouldn't like to see Vindi played as support at all, atleast not a warding support. He needs levels and 200+ GPM farm.
Actually this Hero has been removed from the Hero Pool by S2, what you see on your pick-screen is just a slot for S2 to release more alt avatars.
