I just had a thought and I can't seem to figure it out.
So, here's my question: How would one figure out/calculate the circumference of a circle/cylinder without using pi or measuring it with a string or something? Is it even possible?
take radius, times it by 1.8475 and then add one eighths of the radius
So you need to calculate it in a way that doesn't require knowledge of the circumference and the diameter being at a constant ratio?
I think you use this: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ArcLength.html
