Two Questions About Forum Profile

First: how do i change my forum avatar, if it's possible?
Second: in the forum profile, i found "Permission Groups", in which there's an option to join a "Game Master - Trial", what is that?

Hello,

Your forum avatar is the same as your ingame avatar, it's called a Custom Account Icon (CAI). You change it using the game engine and it automatically changes here as well.

Permission groups are a forum property that determine what boards you can view. As a moderator I have access to private forums specifically for administration, for example. I'm not sure what would happen if you opted to join that as a trial but I doubt it would work. Game Masters are in charge of managing ingame reports and you have to apply to become one.
