In every game i play that includes a smurf in it, that smurf picks SS, and owns with him averaging 800 GPM. Why SS? Is there some kind of technique that works wonders on low brackets or something?
Cause even if you tryhard and quadlane vs you, you can always get back on your feet as ss, also if you don't adress the smurf a ss will snowball, ez.
i suck with SS :E
There aren't any organized ganks in pubs so he doesn't have to worry about his lack of escape
If say he was against more skilled opponents yet still smurfing as brown, he might pick silo instead since he would still have the physical/magic burst, but much more survivability.
Cause people in the 1500's or less don't gank mid.
A 1700 player can easily pick SS and sit mid until the tower is dead and generate mass farm from simple rune control.
If a smurf picks SS again, go side lane rampage and charge him at level 2. Chances are his team won't have wards up either. I've learnt that you kil the smurf once or twice they usually afk in base to save there pathetic KD.

Its because Soulstealer has great early game with his demon hands doing as much dmg as they do and also with his souls he collects, and he can gank well with the right teammates but considering their smurfs they wouldnt exactly need to rely on their teammates.
He can be a strong carry in the late game and can push very well
Because SS rapes typical **** bracket who doesn't know how to play against him
I've never seen a smurf pick SS in my entire life (at least I don't think so, and I've played with a hell of a lot). Idk man.
Since the most common response to a mid losing in a pub is (apart from crying and leaving) to pubtrain the mid lane with 3-4 people all early game (normally this would mean that the sidelanes would be freefarming, but since they are pubs they'll probably end up losing to a solo glacius or miss 75% of their ck in an empty lane) I'd never pick ss if I wanted to pubstomp. Almost any hero with some ganking presence, ability to snowball+semi-carry and (arguably most importantly) an escape is far superior for this, personally I'd pick hag, mk, sil or dargon. Normally I just random and go red boots+bottle into doombringer though, but that isn't really optimal for winning which I guess is the goal for most people.
With the introduction of monkey king and silhouette, I haven't seen anyone pick soulstealer since then. Every single 70+% win rated guy with 2+kdr picks either mk or sil. Both of them are so much more devastating when playing 1v5 than soulstealer, since they all have built-in stuns and blinks while dealing ridiculous amounts of damage.

yea, it's MK or sil for the ones trying really hard to stomp a pub. It's usually 17xx players.
The REALLY strong players can stomp pubs with any hero, so why not do it with soulstealer, he's fun

Cause SS is a shitty hero that the only time a good player can pick him is when he smurfs
How many heroes can deal 900 AoE damage at level 7 with 225 mana?
1) He can rape sidelanes
2) He can rape midlanes when the player is obviously better than the other one at mid. Once you get a decent amount of souls going, lesser players dont stand a chance
3) He can outfarm just about anyone that isn't going alch bones + runed cleaver.
People pick him because he's pretty easy to farm and can usually put the game in your favour by sheer farm advantage especially when lower ranked people don't know how to maximize their farm. He's also incredibly easy to outlane most people in mid lane, and people have a tendency to feed him as they underestimate his hands range. Plus the moment he picks a Shroud he can pick off isolated people pretty fast (though not as reliable since the ultimate change).
I still think Hag is better for the job though. Much better mobility and ganking potential and that's what wrecks pub games most often.
