    Scout help

Hello my name is Audun, please give me some tips to play scout.

Just follow one of the top guides. Scout is a... Well not a very good pick usually. I mean, a farmed scout is devastating! But once you instant pick scout, the chances are, you will get flamed regardless of your stats. So don't instant pick scout, show your pick first

    In terms of gameplay

    1) Your team mates will 99% of the time, expect you to place a ward as a rune ward. Make sure to place on cliff not the river. Just get scout standing RIGHT next to the cliff and place it on the edge of cliff. You don't need to do both rune spots... Since level 1 eye has max 2 eyes you can have placed at a time and nobody levels more than level 1 eye in early laning phase.

    2) Try to lane at the long lane, Top for HB and Bot for Legion. If enemy team has placed a ward to block the pull camp, place an eye in your pull camp and counter it! Usually it's not in the camp radius but outside the corner of that camp (Legion). Inside back of trees for HB. I wish i could post screenshots for you, but im busy. Countering the enemy ward for pull makes you look like a far more skilled scout player! Believe me, scout players who are below 1700 i assure don't do this. They all just put one in the rune spot.

The rest is just general carry stuff like farm and only kill if you are sure you can then run home. Add me of you want friendly tips :P

The one thing your team will want from you in the early game is your silence. Remember to use it! It's a very powerful teamfighting tool that you can use to prevent multiple heroes from casting their spells.

When the enemy team starts to buy invis detection items, don't rush into the middle of them and think you're safe. When you know someone has a bound eye and you're invis, just play like you didn't have that invis. Play like your Q is just an attack speed buff instead. One mistake a lot of novice Scouts make is assuming they're safe because they're invis. They get baited into a lot of bad situations because of this. If you walk somewhere and you see the enemy team immediately shift their positions because of it, you know they have some kind of detection in that area. If it's a rev ward, make sure you counter it with your electric eyes!

Your ultimate, while good for finishing a target, is also a powerful tool for starting a fight! You can use its full power if you hit someone at full health, slowing them by a large amount and dealing a good chunk of damage to them. This can be used to initiate ganks when the enemy isn't expecting a Scout ult, either letting your teammates catch that player and get the kill, or instagibbing the enemy carry by taking a big bite out of them while the rest of your team focuses them down. The faster the fight is over, the better for your team.

Little known fact: If you're against a Hero like Gauntlet or Lord Salforis, who both have an 'On next attack' ability, you can hit them while your Disarm is off cooldown and prevent them from using their ability! This is a great tool when one of them are attempting to use their Infernal Instability or Life Tap to try and get the kill on your ally.

While this is standard, this isn't always true. Getting a 20 minute Runed Cleaver is a great way to start the game off to get that late game aimed farm. You'll push towers down on your own like it's nothing in the late game this way.

Another way to play Scout is to rush a Shieldbreaker and pick people off as you find them. You don't need to be invis 24/7 with this playstyle, just when you need that burst/initiation power. Runed Cleaver will help you stay invis longer, however. It all depends on how the game is going.

As for 'Don't pick if orange', that's not always true either. Someone will always be the orange player but that doesn't mean that they're not good with the heroes they play, it just means that their MMR is lower than the blue player's MMR.

yes,but picking scout as orange will always get you flamed especially if you don't know to play him.Because those supposed better blue players will flame you. Also, rushing sb is nice, but after getting that 20 min cleaver it is much easier to make sb.

I thought you were referring to the skill level associated with colors. I'm sorry! Yeah, picking Scout as orange will probably get you flamed, and ghosting it as orange will probably get your pick picked. If you want to play Scout, learn him in some pubs, then go play MM and show everyone that you actually know what you're doing. When you've got that big ten game win streak in your history with Scout, people won't question it.

one more thing.don't instapick him as the enemy might pick pestilence, not really a counter imo,but might be annoying if you don't know how to counter him.you can instapick scout, make the enemy pick pestilence then repick scout into something else for the lols.

Pesti is always a good pick. From your other post, farming Runed cleaver than SB after is not so smart. SB loses effectiveness by then, compared to getting it very early.

Seveah has some good advice, everyone else not so much. I'll edit this post with a quick guide to scout regarding skills, itembuild and gameplay once I wake up.

if you get a 20 min cleaver that is 4150g.sb is 2600/3600/4600.sb lvl 3 gets countered by 1900 bulwark(more or less).so unless your enemy team gets a bulwark sb will not lose its effectiveness up to very lategame, even then squishies tend to fall in a few hits.if you get sb first you can't farm whole game as you will farm for sb,then farm for cleaver.you are obligated to gank whole match to make gold for other items and you might get countered.cleaver is the best option you have since it allows you to farm way faster, push and to make your items.i think savage is a very good pick on scawt, and his orb is very nice if it is lifesteal instead of sb.or fws since you can be kited quite easy.

i am not sure about his skillbuild though.maxing his 1st allows him to do a few attacks faster.do you need those?i mean you don't need them to farm/lasthit early and on heroes you do minimum damage.do you need to max your 3rd?you don't need disarm whole earlygame, but it's nice for lasthitting as it allows you to lasthit creeps at bigger health.as for wards,i feel they should be maxed 1st.ward runespot and entrancespots in your lane, see that fayde or devourer coming to gank, teleport to other lane, ward that one too continue farming.ward their forest, gank their carry farming with your team or gank their support stacking, take their stacks etc.
