A mate told me to check out Vinterland. Only heard two songs thus far, but holy **** the opener on their only album has to be one of the best black metal songs I've ever heard! The riffing and drumming is so damn good I don't even know what to say.

Animals as Leaders would've been awesome to see. Haven't heard of most of the others though.

It is (more or less) an independent event. So yeah, almost anyone of them are "unknown". But still good I will be there

From Womb to Waste seemed a bit slow for my taste...and then 1:30 came along. Holy **** that's awesome.

Songs were picked at random, as they're all top quality tunes.

That new Dying Fetus is absolutely ****ing killer. Holy ****.

Just bought the new Gojira album the other day too, and it's bloody awesome. A bit different to their last two and I think some people don't like it as much, but in my opinion it's great. This track is one of my favourites.

    Thanks AvunaOs for the sig!

Been loving Skalmold since I found out about them some months back: Valholl, from the album Baldur.

Slightly old news but periphery's new album is streaming and it is amazing!

The second part is best (ragnarok / facepalm mute are the best songs imo)

:O Would love to see Scar Symmetry, if they still had Christian singing
Not that interested in the guys who replaced him.

Mother of God I'm so stoked about Brutal Assault!
I'm gonna be so poor in September due to that and WoA, but it'll be worth it!

Shame I'm working. Else I'd go to Wacken too.

Even if the lineup isn't flawless this year, it seems like a nice place to be!

So jealous of Europe's festivals; one day I'll travel overseas and get to one. One day.

Also, here is a killer track off Gojira's new album.

    Thanks AvunaOs for the sig!

Those of you into traditional Death Metal, check out the new album from Dawn of Demise called "Rejoice in Vengeance".
The Suffocation influence is still there, but I think this album sounds more like something of their own.
I'm personally very fond of it and the tracks also sound huge live, and work well with the old material.

A track from the new album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTtYCYSNwp4 - Indulge in Perversity, which is the eighth track off of the album.

Where you all metalheads!? Let's bring the metal back to Hon!

Keep watching casts and realize just how much of a lack of metalheads there is playing this game!!!... Or at least, they are hiding..

GUUUUUYYSSS !!! (and girls?) where are all, metalheads players!?

Oh and.. in order to lure real music lovers (screw you techno!.. and rap.. and hip-hop.. and pop.. and whatever!), or to initiate someone to the genre, here are some amazing metal bands that are not that well-known (but definately should). I like unique bands, those that have their own sound.

    The Agonist

Their new album is downright insane. Best album I've listened in a while (if not the best album I've ever listened to, bar). Oh and.. the singer's freaking hot.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqtyZ8-4wF0 (the intro's the ganked's official song?)

    Unexpect

Totally different register, Unexpect's new album also is kick-ass. For open-minded music fans only, this band is highly.. different.. (experimental music.. best experimental band I know)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CgLB...eature=related

    Between the Buried and Me

Mathcore.. they are what we would expect of Pink Floyd if they went death metal. Very difficult to listen to "one" song without listening to the entire album to get its context. Here's one that is self-listenable (is that a word?)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhkpCjmXHTU

    Before the Dawn

North Europeans know what they're doing with metal.. though sometimes I feel bands are somehow repetitive in their style. This one's the most effective band of that genre I know of. The melodies are insane, the voice(s) are sick.. Freaking good band. One of the vocal's gone now though, so the sound has changed from what I link here -> still freaking baddass. Melodic Death metal.. I'm particularly fan of what their did starting from Alaska, their music getting better by each album (Great Misdirect is a masterpiece)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DYSXOfTudY

    Maximum the Hormone

What would happen if a Japanese punk band decided they would fuse System of a Down with Red Hot Chili Peppers together to make a hardcore band? Yeah, that would sound like MtH. Not a single one of their songs' identical.. it feels as if it was a new band every song. Their album Buiikikaesu is awesome.. sadly though, TsumeTsumeTsume is not on that album. Let's hear it anyway!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lKU2gTPs84

    Threat Signal

Melo-death band from Canada.. Might not the most original band out there, but clearly they have their own sound and it's baddass.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eztSuRSTrmA

    Protest the Hero

Hell yeah.. Probably the most accessible band I'm proposing today.. if you can stand the balls-in-the-grinder type of voice the singer has.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqL_JnnOo9k

    Born of Osiris

Melo-death band.. with a "we're floating in space Bob" kind of sound to it. Pretty hard, yet so awesome. For fans of Andromeda? lol

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iekx3...feature=relmfu

    Shangren

Here we're mixing big bad ass death metal with Chinese mythos. So awesome (Whispered does something a little similar with Japanese samurais)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-dcc8TbKNs (THE MONKEY KING SONG!)

I like metal but don't care for music. Hate how people fight over what sub genre a song is.
    Anyway all that remains
    Parkway drive
    Of mice and men.
    A day to remember.
Also love metal covers. Even tho its punk. The punk goes POP albums are good
