    Tips For Predator

hi guys,Since i started to play with predator, i've been good results but i need some advices about items... normally i pick hatched, shield and 1 rune after> Steamboots> Icebrand> FrostBurn> ShunkenHead> Daemoniac> Abyssal... one friend told that "buy brutalizer instead icebrand". it's viable?

Both items are situational, but keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a "Brutalizer or Icebrand" thing. You can easily get both if you feel like it, since Brutalizer isn't an attack modifier.

EDIT: Frostburn and brutalizer are good items to pick up, but neither of them are a "must".

Predator is a tanky carry / anti tank.

Because of how Carnivouros works (7% of current HP), Predator should get attackspeed to compliment that and some survivability to stay in the fights.

You can stack some -armor and damage on top of that to deal a great amount of sustained damage.

Predator is however slow. A Frostburn is good to keep your enemies close enough to hit, while giving some attackspeed and survivability. Sol's ullwark into Deamonic gives the armor and attackspeed.

Insanitarius is however a good starting item. Insanitarius gives 56 (?) damage for about 2.2k gold, which is insane.
Carni gives you the lifesteal to sustain Insanitarius, so it is a GREAT item on predator.

For rather weird but very powerfull items I would recommend Charged Hammer (Attackspeed and Damage), Frostwolf's Skull for survivability and sustained damage, Brutalizer if you have enough attackspeed to really anti carry and anti tank.

In this meta, Shield Breaker is core, just sayin.

Just played with a friend and went empath predator. I did the insanitarius -> elder parasite build. IT WAS SO STRONG!! I was laughing at it and was like "You're kidding mate. Insnitarius WITH ELDER PARASITE?" and he was like "Yeah it's really underrated".

    It's really underrated.

With stonehide to counter some squishyness from Elder Parasite it is very viable. You will just rape through EVERY hero midgame.

Insanitarius's burst HP (when toggeling you get ~400 hp) you can tank a little more, making predator almost unstoppable for the duration of Stone Hide.

steamboots -> sols -> shieldbreaker should be your start in every game except you really have 0 farm. After that, it heavily depends on your opponents. Dont mind picking up a shrunken head if they have 80+ % magic damage. If they are built rather defensive, finish demonic and go savage afterwards. If they only have auto-attacks, dont mind picking up a wingbow, might help for that.
To the elder Parasite Insanatarius build: Good enemies will just kite you to death with tablets until stonehide is gone and then have fun with your elder-parasite. Might work in lower MMR-regions, but i wouldnt recommend it.

Best tip is to pick a proper carry, seriously predator is bad.

Dont jungle predator and forget items like basher and elder, some ppl actually buys those items still.
Last time I played predator I did something like this and a troll troll item

Pred is soo strong . Get Plague with you on the lane or any other Slowing or stunning Hero and be aggressive on the lane. Get a lifetube then boots helm etc. Always works even against "s2 heroes"

PS: Shieldbraker isnt rly the best core item on pred. Get Frostburn then Frostwulf and Demonic /Sols Luxury: Wingbow

Wingbow gives evasion against heavy auto attack teams and good as boost, preda scales with attack speed. Helm isnt that bad, but if I really need that surivivability I would just pick insanitarius.

If your team has good stuns/slows get shieldbreaker. Otherwise frostburn is a tad bit better since it gives you the chance to actually get in a few hits, instead of just chasing them around. Same idea with steamboots/ghost marchers. Steam are superior on pred, but if your team has very few stuns/slows, you might want to consider ghost just to keep up and continue hitting.

Sols has good synergy with his ult and his stone hide.

If you wanna play Predator the best tip I can give is to pick TDL instead, unless you trust your support players to help Predator stay
    a) alive through the early game and
    b) relevant after midgame.

well it gives him atk speed and ms+slow, exactly what he needs but he gets no survivability and 3k gold for agility is meh.not to mention he doesn't need to much mana and manareg.
