HoNored Posters: Welcome New Additions!

It's time to induct some more outstanding community members into the HoNored Posters club! In case you forgot, here's what being an HoNored Poster means.

An HoNored Poster is someone who has shown exceptional dedication to Heroes of Newerth and the forums. They help other players, promote good discussion, and contribute in a positive manner. S2 Games feels it is important to recognize these upstanding people and thank them in our own special way.


This select group can be easily identified by their special “HoNored” title, located right below their name on the forums. When you see this title, you should know that this person has given a lot to the HoN community and is known for being a good forum poster.

For this edition, we've decided to go all out and there will be FIVE new HoNored Posters added! Make sure you congratulate:

Melto

I am an active player on the Suggestion Forums, specifically items and Hero Drafts.

With a group of players that's getting bigger and bigger, we're trying to draft potential content which could fit in the game. When a player posts a new draft, it is often not perfect but we're all helping each other to make everyone's draft better with reviews. You should all come and see some of our ideas there.

I'm also the guy who created the Playable Hero Repository (Thanks to Passthechips) which is a place on Hero Drafts section where we try to group all heroes that are already coded and playable in practice games. I love coding items and heroes. It is so much fun! I've coded a bunch of them and I still got a lot more to release from my “vault.”

Also, to motivate Drafters, I often do the "Draft to Life Contests." This contest is a way for Drafters to show their talent and creativity. They just have to create a hero idea which fits the challenge rules and submit it. For the winning heroes, I create a playable version of the draft which is playable in a practice game!

Inomares

I mostly post in General Discussion (GD) or in Bug Reports.

In GD, I mostly answer questions. Everyone was new at one point and a friendly pointer in the right direction can do wonders. I have some degree of knowledge with navigating the game's files and can answer some questions the "average" community member cannot.

In Bug Reports, I help replicate some of the bugs, as well as help ElementUser with confirming new bugs and filtering out the known ones.

I also do some stuff outside of the forum such as:
* Helping out on the wiki
* RCT
*Getting silenced by Viole in every in-game channel known to mankind.

DawZ_

I got into the scene with It's Gosu, where I started out as a caster and later on a tournament admin. I eventually took over as the head of their HoN Division and kept working on their tournaments too. Recently, I started to work for Clan MILK and I'm going to help them evolve their HoN section even more! I'm also a DreamHack admin for HoN, and therefore have the opportunity to meet all of you great HoN players twice a year. In the forums, you'll most likely find me in Competitive Discussion. I read a lot and post when I have something to add. Since I know most of the teams and players, and have been helping around a lot, I can often share my own experiences with the community. If you can't find me there, you'll most likely find me singing in a Team Matchmaking game!

Well hello there fellow HoNers!


First, I want to thank anyone that was crazy enough to vouch for me as an HoNored Poster!


To inform those who have not heard of me yet and don't know what I do for HoN, here is a quick breakdown. Every week, I usually upload at least one HoN guide. These guides tend to be around 10 minutes long and are uploaded to my YouTube channel. Aside of doing the guides and some other videos (My “How to Lane” video was a runner up in the Art contest), I shoutcast games. Those who follow the competitive scene a little may have seen me post in the Competitive Discussion forums or have just seen my stream. (I just came home from vacation so there's be a little video drought!)

Shoutout to S2 Games - especially XanderK who has helped me bring out the guides for the newest heroes - to all the Mods who vouched for me and of course to anyone who I help through my guides/casting.

I've been creating modifications for Heroes of Newerth for two years now. (See my mods here!) Also, I try to help out in the Request and Modding Support sections when I can.


Besides that, you can also randomly find me in General Discussion (because I'm not that good at balancing and similar stuff! :-D). In addition, you can usually find me in #honlabs on IRC whenever my PC is running, which is quite fun and sometimes even helpful! :-p
