Gave some thought to this comment. If this is a real impression people have of me, I'm not sure I like it that much. Society is a mixed bag of ideas all competing for dominance. Oppressive ideas are especially difficult to fight when they are tyrannical, pitting the majority against the minority. If I had to, I would resort to violent protest (only if institutional oppression became too great and stifling, e.g. stonewall riots) - insults are the least people should be complaining about (care). This issue is one I'm very passionate about and I only asked people try and consider different views here - especially when these views are increasingly supported by scientific research. Transgendered people are the victims of heavy amounts of violence and discrimination, progress towards gender issues is advancing much more slowly than progress towards lesbian and gay issues. Only an estimated .3% of the population is transgender or gender non-conforming. There is really a lack of numbers on this due to many different things. There is actually a lot of transphobia inside the LGBT community, so many trans people will not be open about their transgendered status even in a 'safe' place. Also, hate crimes go largely under reported. And many transvictims are misidentified or ignored by police (and very likely to be victims of police violence, so trans people are also prone to avoid the police). They are disproportionately likely to be a victim of sexual assault or assault. Most have experienced being verbally harassed at, discriminated against by employees or by housing, and many are kicked out of their homes at a young age. These ideas are hurting people. If people don't want to deign to think about these people and their problems but would rather marginalize and dismiss them, I think they're deserving of insults, perhaps more. I know words and arguments are my typical method of choice, but if someone will not be moved, I don't see a problem with resulting to insults and ridicule. My ideas have to compete with theirs and persuasion is no easy task - sometimes ridicule is effective. It's not intellectual, but then again, I'm not always dealing with intellectual people.

Maybe they get assaulted because they don't tell regular people they're trannies until after they've been snogging and stuff. I'm sure throwing a punch is a pretty common reaction to realizing you just got blown by a dude in disguise.

There are actually more homosexual sexual assaults in America than there are heterosexual assaults. LGBT peoples are some of the most vulnerable in the prison system. They are also disproportionally targeted outside of prison, which isn't surprising considering we've always had increased rates of violence victimization among groups with fewer rights in society, or against those that experience more discrimination.

Well of course they're disproportionally targeted, the idiots don't usually target regular people. I'm not justifying it or anything, it's just as bad to randomly assault a tranny as anyone else. All I'm saying is that if trannies are going to completely ignore the fact that most people don't consider them to actually having changed sex(You can say what you want about their brain matter, they haven't physically changed sex), and refuse to let people know this before engaging in sexual activities, they can't exactly blame that person for getting mad and perhaps reacting violently once they realize.
Or maybe you even can blame them, that doesn't change the fact that the tranny in question is pretty stupid for not accounting for that people may react with anger or violence. I know hooligans are known to be violent, so I wouldn't be dumb enough to go mocking Manchester United in a football pub just after they lost.
I don't really care what people do to themselves, they can chop their genitals off if they want to, but if you're going to be an obvious guy with tits and dressing like a chick you can't expect everyone to just think you're normal. You can justify it all you want with your science and statistics and crap, but the fact of the matter is that trannies make the choice, fully knowing that society is going to frown upon them, and that is part of the decision. And don't drag friggin mutants into this because they're obviously not included in this argument, seeing as how I'm talking about making a choice.

I don't even understand why they care so much about this crap. It's a body. Everyone's born with one and almost everyone accepts or at least tolerates the one they get. I would much rather have a vagina than a fake dick that probably doesn't even have working nerves or is able to get hard. In fact I'd love to have a vagina, it would make it a ton less hassle to get laid, unfortunately I can't have one because the only thing available is a crappy imitation that doesn't work properly.
I'm pretty sure I directly stated that I don't advocate violence against trannies. The Saudi Arabian society is based on these "norms" or whatever you want to call it, and while I don't agree with their views and values, and certainly don't think women should be beaten for not wearing Abayas, I can see how a woman refusing to follow the norms of their society would be to at least some extent excluded from society. We all think it's unfair for these women to be beaten and physically punished for not wearing these stupid curtains, however how would you feel about the men simply preferring women wearing curtains over the ones that don't?
That's all I'm talking about, I'm not saying trannies should be randomly beat up on the streets for their choices, I'm saying if they use their disguise to intentionally deceive a heterosexual man into thinking they're actual women the man will probably get mad once he realizes they're not. There's a HUGE difference between beating up a tranny on the street for no reason and giving him a well-deserved punch in the face once you realize it's a friggin disguised man that's been groping you. If I got drugged at a bar and woke up in a bed with a regular gay guy sucking on my junk I would punch the crap out of him too. Heck, I'd probably punch any random guy who started touching me. At the very least tell him to **** off.
