The MMR "hole"
Doesnt exist.
If there's one thing I've noticed in hon since beta it's that a vast majority of players seem to feel that they are lower than they deserve to be. Well I don't want to be mean, and since I do feel this stops a lot of people from improving I have to say it. No you are not good, you are stuck in the 1200s or 1400s or even the 1600s because that is where you belong. The only consistent thing throughout every game you play in hon is YOU.
It doesn't even matter what role you play if you are a good support you can easily win games in the lower brackets just by setting up ganks and maintaining map control. Obviously a mid semi carry/ganker has slightly more impact on the game than a support but if everyone else is a 1200 and you are supporting at a 1500-1600 level you will have a massive impact on the game, more than enough to win 6 or more games out of every 10 games and that's all you have to do to go up in mmr.
I'm not saying that every loss is your fault or that it's bad to be new at a game or hell even bad at it, but accepting that you may not be as good as you think only makes you become better. And yes there will be unavoidable losses due to feeders or smurfs or leavers. But that happens to everyone just leave every single game trying to understand what YOU could have done better and how to improve your own play. There hasn't been a perfect game of hon played yet and there never will be so we can always learn from our mistakes and continue to improve as a player. That silly number will come later.
