    Unintentionally feeding allies

It's simple: I DC-ed, someone controlled my hero and got it killed. Will the banhammer come down upon him?

Yes, make sure you report the correct person.

Q: How do I know which player controls a disconnected ally?

    1. Go to Options -> Sound and enable "Unit Reactions" and move the delay slider to 0
    2. Open replay and set perspective to the player that is disconnected
    3. Watch the match from that players view; make sure you can hear his unit reactions
    4. Find out the point where he was controlled
    5. Switch replay view to the player you suspect controlled the disconnected hero
    6. Left click the disconnected hero. You will hear the disconnected hero's unit reactions when moved
    7. If you cannot hear unit reactions, switch view to another suspect until you find the correct one
    8. If you cannot hear unit reactions for any of the four players, you probably skipped steps 1 or 3 =)

Example: You suspect Chipper is feeding the disconnected Pebbles. After following the above steps you hear Pebbles "Two birds with one stone!" unit reaction while watching the replay from Chipper's point of view. Chipper is confirmed to be the one who was controlling Pebbles.

If he controlled it trying to help ur team, then I believe it's not bannable. Am I right?

It's only if he intentionally feeds you to the enemy team in order to get you some deaths.

Correct, the OP made it sound like it was an intentional feed.

    ^this^

if he charged your hero into the other team's fountain (or similar situation), he's guilty!

if he was trying to use your hero but you accidentally died, he's innocent (some people are bad at microing multiple units)

I guess he will won't be found guilty then. Opposing team was pushing racks, and three of my teammates died. One of the dead ones pulled me out of the fountain to stun them and got me killed...

Most likely not then because of the stun. If he had just ran in and did nothing....different story.

If the intent is to get you killed for no benefit to the team, then it's against the rules.

By your description it appears that the intent was to slow down an enemy push, and the death was accidental. Such a case would be marked innocent.

The thing is I 'know' he did that with the intention of killing me. My hero was magmus, and my ult was off cd. If he really wanted to do something, he could've ulted, pk in, and stun. Again, we're talking about the specifics, and by now I've cooled off, I don't even care about reporting him anymore. Anyway thank you for all responses, you were all very helpful.
Only thing I can think of is a suggestion. Put a one hour (or one day) waiting period before a report for a certain game could be filed. I'm guessing a lot of unnecessary reports wouldn't even be sent due to 'cooling off', like in my case...

We have a 5 minute cooldown period for precisely this reason. It used to be 15 minutes but that received too much negative feedback.

what DOESN'T receive negative feedback? even when yous guys have "OMG FREE ALT AVATAR GIVEAWAYS!", people say things like "mrah! i played my games and i didn't get my alt avatars the exact second that i finished my game! why are you guys so slow at giving me free stuff that i probably don't deserve?!!"

*"mrah" is the noise i imagine people make before saying whiney things. its very nasally*
