Trademark eSports Staff Members

Hey Everyone,

Trademark is looking for some self-motivated, talented team members for the back-end of our organization. There are a few positions that we would like to fill. All of these positions will currently be volunteer positions. We are working on being able to open full-time, paid positions, but these things take time. The following positions that we would like to fill immediately are,

Webmaster (1 needed) - Design, develop and update www.trademarkesports.com. May be called upon to design and develop other smaller project websites that are affiliated with Trademark.
Tournament Planner (1 needed) - Brainstorm, organize, coordinate, implement and manage both Online and LAN events. Work closely with management to record and report statistics associated with tournament attendance, viewership, et cetera et cetera. (21+ and US Citizen and Resident.)
Announcer (2 needed) - Cast matches of tdM hosted tournaments and other games that Trademark will have as projects within the organization. (Must be setup to stream high quality. Excellent English required. 18+ and US Citizen and Resident.)

Well, good luck with this, but to me it seems that the requirements are way too high for a volunteer job.

I'd take a shot for that management position if I were a US citizen.

Alot of people wants to working with gaming and my guess would be that this would also be a good way into a job you would normally not be qualified for.
Seeing as it is a volunteer position it probably wouldn't take all that much time either. Some people, me included, actually like to do this kind of work.

Do you have exposure in any other titles? This seems like alot of work for just HoN and the possibly of a full-time, paid job in just HoN even more unlikely. There are exceptions to the rule (like MILK, who have a millionaire backer) but it seems really hard. Lots of people have failed and been left jaded.

You guys have razer and radicall as sponsors so you SHOULD easily be able to atleast offer your current/future workers some gear in exchange for their work (at least for now). Oh and it's pretty hard to find a "Webmaster" in your definition. It looks like you need a designer, a coder and a journalist so it would be more than just one position you're looking for - unless ofc you get a really skilled designer who is also able to code in your way and be able to write professionally and afaik there aren't many and if there are they all have great jobs that are offering them stuff like for example gear.

Every time tdm posts looking for volunteers 90% of replies point out the ridiculous standards and time required for a volunteer position, 10% of replies defend them and talk about "love of the game," and tdm says "we're working on getting money to pay volunteers." This has happened across several posts for the last few months.
