you just have to plan out the fight when you're against magebane. all it takes is 2 stacked stuns + the team auto attacking him to take him down.

Magebane almost always goes for a beastheart asap in competitive games I've watched. A lot of times dual lane mid with a babysitter. Rushing runed axe is so silly since it's not hard to last hit and you don't have to play as cautiously once you get a helm. You can also jungle easily with it as well.
Ok, you have all mentioned the items that should be picked up.
Now let me represent to you: Fayde.
Fayde's stun, whatever its called, the w, is the greatest counter to magebane if you do sucsessfully early game. Your stun will make him hit himself like 4 times, and that will steal like 250 mana and deal 250 extra damage if he has put 4 levels in q. Go woods and gank him, just try to make sure he never gets his bkb, because thats what he needs.
After codex go boots of travel, and tp to your team to assist them in your 5v4 push. Also tp boots are great for quick ganks when he is farming lane.
Eighter max codex after that, or be even smarter and try to build a kuldra or hellflower, tho this is hard, and require you to be able to combo him down with less burst damage, while farming more than 5k gold![]()
"death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back."
holy **** that's a farmed bane
why was your engi building spellshards over a hellflower?
Hell, kuldra, you have to CC this close-to-immortal hero down if he doesn't have a BKB, other wise he's going to just wipe the floor with you. Nothing you could've done about it as just a tremble vs a magebane.
I agree, HF ROCKS on tremble. Your enemy won't get away from you in a 1v1, and you'll likely kill him.(Not sure about that late in the game though, maybe earlier.)
