OP, as a fellow F2P player i understand you to some extent; i've made this account 1. 8. 2011 and since then i've grinded silver methodically for quite a lot of things that i've wanted; the most worthless thing i spend 2 weeks grinding silver for was the basic taunt, which i've used once or twice since then; if i'd just waited, i'd get it free for GameHoN anyway :/ I've also unlocked about 50 - 60 heroes with silver on all my accounts - 2 of those were monkey kings for 650 silver each, so i grinded 1300 silver for basicly nothing...

But i don't complain, becouse it was (mostly) fun to do and didn't cost me anything but my free time and energy, which is mine to dispose as i want anyway. I've also bought some gold coins and bought 2 skins, but i don't regret that either, becouse i know i helped the company and the game with it; i'm also one of the thousands online every day, so no money can beat the knowledge that i'm part of a legion, that's good enough for me

Legacy Players came and payed for the game WAY back when. Before HoN is what it is now, we showed our support to S2 by buying their game. I played beta HoN, and pre-purchased my account shortly after being told we could pre-purchase. This is a way for S2 to pay respect and show loyalty in return to the players who payed for the game in and of itself. Before alt avatars, and the shop. F2P players are getting every hero free. This is S2's way of telling the Legacy Account holders, "Hey, we havent forgotten about you guys. You made us."

What about all the other guys who contributed to the closed and open betas? What about all the Legacy/Gold Shields that don't play anymore?

We aren't the only people that "made" HoN what it is. If anything, we're a minority nowadays.

Why would he have serious problems, hes voicing his own OPINION that he feels that the +2 silver coins is not necessary, i also feel this is the case as the store rework means that avatars are much cheaper and easier to access.

The F2P player thing is something else then the Legacy thing.
Legacy >bought< the game, where ripped of it, got All Heroes as compensation. Now All Heroes are free, so they need a real refund (if they'd say we will get nothing, then our 30$ would be a rip off, since we didn't pay for Heroes or Avatars but for a GAME.

Unfortunately you have to view the F2P thing like this, you bought all heroes like EA heroes, so only the last 15 day heroes will be refunded.
I know it's not very fair if you spend a lot of money and now "only" get this avatar, but that's how business changes work and HoN needed already 2!

No, we're not the only ones, but we were the people who were here when S2 was first getting started with HoN. When it was still mostly on the drawing board, and so little of it was working. And anyone who played during Closed and Open beta through to now has a Legacy Account unless they stopped when it went retail and picked it back up after it went into F2P.

As Bangatorn said, no one is more deserving of one thing than another. S2 has decided to give all F2P accounts complete hero access like Legacy(Paid for) accounts.
Since that would put those who have paid for an account on the same level with those who havent paid for an account, the +2 silver per game.

And yeah, we're a minority now. But there are still quite a lot of us out there.

I seriously don't understand why you guys are complaining? I paid 30$ for this game a long time ago and I've gotten a game out of it that was worth every ****ing dime, hell I even got more **** worth $30. I've bought gold for prolly $200 (or more).

I honestly can't belive you guys are so ****ing pathetic and are crying over $30 that you spent 3 - 4 years ago and to all of you others complaining; You can't become Legacy now and you won't get the +2 silver bonus that we get, GET OVER IT.

I'm not trying to insult anyone here but seriously stop acting like a bunch of spoiled f*gs and be happy that S2 does something that benefits ALL their 100k+ playerbase, they are doing the best for everyone which is fine. 1) They stated they were going to refund F2P players that purchased heroes when they 1st advised they were thinking of going to an all Free hero pool.
2) I did not just purchase "a couple of heroes" I purchased them all right up until Bramble (with gold coins not silver) - Yes my choice this is understood

This thread has degraded into F2P vs Legacy players. Again I never said that Legacy players shouldn't get anything extra, They have shown support for years to HON and S2 with staying loyal and playing the game. Likely spreading the word and helped increase the player base for years now. Great no problem reward that... I get it...
It is in my opinion S2 should also show the same level of appreciation to those F2P players that have supported them with purchasing larger amounts of goblin coins. Lets be honest here they are Legacy players that have purchased goblin coins and those that have not. There are F2P players that have done the same. Which actually direclty financially support the company? - All legacy accounts did regardless of future goblin coins, but there are F2P players that have spent far more money on this game then Legacy players. I just don't fully understand why S2 is not giving the same level of appreciation to both.

I strongly disagree with the division in the community that S2 has created this Legacy vs. the world is getting old and tired...

Ok so I went searching the forums to make sure I wasn't going crazy as I knew they had said they would be refunding hero purchases.

That is because they changed it to release all the heroes. It is a different model.

Well everything in the store is much cheaper and F2P accounts have all the heroes now so there is no worry of spending silver to buy the hero, and S2 doing this change of making the game Free-to-own, me gusta :3

personally as a legaacy player that uses mainly silver, im kinda overjoyed with that bonus ^^

Eh they should simply bump anyone that pays $30 or more on goblin coins up to Legacy Status.

People won't grief/ruin stats after a $30 investment and they are simply getting the +2 coins each game.

It would reward those that did support the game even after the F2P change.

why would you even want to get lots of free silver or gold, i want an alt avatar but the fun part of the game is to play matches for silver to buy something you like, if they give you everything you want... you gonna be like, oh i lost what a crap. but i you want the silver you gonna try to get BL, winning consecutives, having to win silver motivates you to win matches

People don`t want everybody playing all heroes, that is the diference.

i love buying heroes whit silver, the slogan of this patch is "your game, your heroes" but they doesn`t feels yours if everyone haves it.
if you play a heroes whit less than 2% of ussage and you buy it, you feel like that heroes is yours. is a pretty nice feeling, now everyone has acces to every heroes. so doesn`t feels so personal
