There are games created with the mindset of wanting it to be popular, then there are games created with mindset that want it to be good.
Sometimes both of these happen. That's when you get a good game.

Probably going to line up with this movie:

A couple things I learned that I thought was cool about this game.
It is going to use a server format. That is, you rent out 70-250 server slots from the game. These sever you can change what ever settings you want, make a password or w/e. Your character is tied to that server. This is bad also, as the company has a monopoly on server hosting for their games. You can only rent from them.
There will be hardcore and non hardcore. I know I will only play hardcore.
This seems like a good Idea. Let the players create the missions. You wants the player who keeps killing you dead? Post a bounty on his head. You need that super awesome gun mod? Post a mission."players will be able to create their own quests and missions for other players and then post rewards for completing those missions. Once again - we just provide the tools and the players create the experience."
Also with no levels or spells, this won't be a WoW MMORPG. BTW WoW already has zombies!
Thanks Vahn
seems kinda pointless to include non-hardcore. Basically just a way to grasp at the casual market.

Project Zomboid An amazing indie survival zombie game
Suggestion - Spaghetti + Meatball Bramble
well, the whole appeal of these types of games is permanent death. Making your character and your actions matter to you. If you know you wont really lose anything from dying it wouldnt hold that same appeal (from my point of view anyway). The fear of death is what makes this type of game exciting and fresh compared to other mmos/zombie games

i just get the feeling more people will opt for safety over realism thats all

Adding a second mode will likely detract from Hardcore, because many people who will now choose softcore would have been okay playing hardcore once they got used to it. It divides the playerbase.

And yes it's a lot better than Day-Z!![]()
Already a thread.

It's just a reskinned version of War Inc, which was filled with bugs and a huge flop.
The team behind it is just trying to ride on the wave that Day-Z is creating.
How do you know it's better than DayZ when they're both still in early alpha?
