After i patched the game earlier today i was gonna do a practice game to show one of my friends how the games looks like / how items etc works. But i couldnt choose a hero, the selection "box" was just black, same thing when i joined a tmm game. Cant see any heroes and only random..
Do you have mods installed?
If yes, update them or uninstall them.
