Oh and that double MMR loss if the team loses in the end is just salt on wounds.

Please review the posts above. If you are kicked you do not lose extra MMR. In fact, if your team goes on to win without you, you actually gain MMR.

It's far too easy to kick someone out of malice on 3's. I got a group of two brothers who initiated a kick vote on me, said "Kick and we concede", and that was it for me in that game. They still won, I still got MMR, I'm not particularly annoyed.
