Everytime I see someone pick Voodoo I see them level their stun and cursed ground first. Every single time. The logic I've always used is that if you pick a healer, you should spec him in healing first. But does this apply to Voodoo? Is his Cursed Ground so damn good that you do his Mojo last? Or is Voodoo the most wrongly leveled hero of all time, even more so than Legionnaire.
There is no "right" build for any hero. Heroes can be played differently. For VJ it all depends on your lanepartner. If it is a hero with really high burst damage you max curse, if it's a hero with very low burst damage you will want the heal. It also depends on the opposition, since curse is just SO good against tanky heroes.
I just spanked a game through with him. I leveled stun+3rd skill(the imba one). Got ghost marchers, some hp(bracer, grave locket), some wards too. The stuff is that u should always land your 3rd skill right and it's a gg.
VJ is pretty versatile in terms of laning. He can go defensive by leveling Mojo or offensive by leveling CG. If you have a killer teammate, cg alone deals retarded amounts of damage and there's no reason you shouldn't want to get kills with it early. Once you're 6, your stun + ward + cg can pretty much demolish any hero provided you got to channel it for a couple seconds.
His heal is too mana intensive to be leveled early, nor does it heal a lot anyways. If you're looking for a healer, nymph is 10x better with her mana and instant heal, instead of voodoos healing over time + no mana regen spell.
Meanwhile, if landed properly, his cursed ground is basically a guaranteed kill with the damage over time.

i also think he is a good support that can ward,something like a glacius.anything you level is nice.tablet/astro,wards anything.or you can go for shroud/shrunken/void talisman if you already have support.he is also nice in a trilane.
