The Serpent of the Seventh Pit, feeder on the sick and the weak, was summoned forth in the last days of the war between Man and Beast. A cunning conniver and whisperer of false promises, Slither delights in suffering and despair.
Introducing the Classic Hero Spotlight, where we'll take a closer look at the existing heroes of Newerth! This month's hero is Slither, who is already available in-game to play. Slither is a unique hero in that he can fit a pushing, ganking, or semi carry role. He is a ranged, agility hero adept in toxins and poisons. With a myriad of damage over time spells and multiple slows, Slither can spread his virulent diseases across the battlefield, greatly harming many enemies simultaneously.
With the release of this Classic Hero Spotlight, we'll also be introducing a new Limited Edition alt avatar - Infected Slither! This new skin will debut this Friday, and features a new set of skill icons as well as a ward very befitting of his new, infected self. Watch out for MSIvy this week as well, as her wards also get a makeover befitting her vivacious avatar.

Damn, I already have MSIvy Slither, I don`t know if I want to buy this one aswell, specially since you just said Ivy is getting new wards (which is gr8, thanks!).

a question.it says that his ult is superior damage.i did in a practice and while the affected target has shrunken head it does not take damage.also the ability says it is magic and not superior magic.will he be changed this friday or do i miss the point?
It has a superior magic application with magic damage.
Meaning: It can apply through Immunity and Immunity doesn't dispel it, but the damage can be prevented.

To clarify, what this means in practical terms is, if you hit an enemy with poison burst (12 seconds) and they activate a shrunken head (5 seconds) they will still take the 7 seconds of damage after their magic immunity wears off. This is in contrast to something like hellbringer's death boil, which would have its effect removed the instant the shrunken head was activated.

but if they already have shrunken head,why doesn't the ult apply,waits for those 5 seconds and then continues for the 7?
There are a few parts of a skill,
Target/Effect/Application
Damage
States (Buffs/Debuffs)
Slither's Ultimate has:
Magic Target/Application
Magic Damage
but a Superior Magic State
So when you have Immunity on, it cancels any parts that aren't superior.
So it will block the application/target (in this case application).
Block the damage.
But not the superior portion (the state).
If you use the Immunity after the application portion has been done, and now the Superior state is sitting on you, it will be like Dominare explained. Further questions can go to Mechanics subforum and I'm sure someone can have a better explanation.

can you give a few more examples of skills that have superior magic state?or are there anymore?i guess behe's ult has superior magic application right?
