I just play a game as Wretched Hag, go mid (and I hate mid) - and I wouldn't say I lost it, and managed to kill him as well. I call all the misses, and yet my team still ignores and dies.No wards either, and somehow they manage to feed NH.
So I'm wondering, I see all these posts of GET OUT OF 1500 EZ - Stomp mid and win! .. But how can you carry a team (a tundra at 1400, with 0.4 kd, 8 games played, 1 won.. who doesn't use skills .. and he's verified, sigh), a pyro that decides to AFK, and two friends who pick deadwood and gunblade, call bot and lose.. even after I gank?
Because I'm pretty decent at the game, I often win playing with my bf who is 1700 (so we are matched with 1600 - 1700's) - and I'm not by any means necessary saying I DESERVE TO BE HIGHER, because ofc I can't carry myself there.
But .. when I sortof win mid, gank, get rune control and yet still lose .. and it happens so much in these games, I can't help but blame others. I will admit I make stupid mistakes (but we're all human right ;p) but everytime I solo queue I always get a positive score, call misses.. do everything I should to help my team, even ward when I'm not support.
And yet I still can't get out of here because of the other people. I just..whaat?!
meh??
why do you want to increase in MMR anyway? You can learn the heroes you suck at/get practice/w/e in your bracket much easier than higher ratings. When you finally want to increase in MMR, it wouldn't be that hard to do so anyway.
But... If you can manage to win your own lane, and win another lane, then I'm sure you'll pretty much win the game. But if you're a support player, just find a carry player.
But lets be honest though. Why didn't you buy the wards? It's 100g. Sometimes you gotta suck it up if no one else does it.
just play more and hope you get lucky and teammed with better players
or make some e-friends who are the same mmr as you and you skill level and queue with them.
The game is a lot more than that. There's stuff like map control, farming, pushing, reacting to the enemies' strats, helping your struggling team mates, etc.when I sortof win mid, gank, get rune control and yet still lose
Something to Try - For players who are obviously struggling a lot, like that Tundra, form a "Jungle Taskforce" for midgame. As a support player, I stack camps and ward for these players so they can farm and not be vulnerable in lanes. Tell them to build survivability items. Then when your better players can pull off a gank, get the junglers to come out and help push. This also helps a lot for calming their minds after a bad laning phase. :P
Yes, it is a slower way of doing things, and it forces your better players to be patient, but it worked in the games I solo Q'ed on the way to 1600+.

If you're team isn't warding for you, ward for yourself! A lot of people that go mid think that they shouldn't have to ward, but a good mid should always buy themselves a starting ward if you dont have a teammate willing to.
As you stated yourself, try teaming with friends, people you know are good that will support and have good lane combinations.
Try to get a group of four more friends that have good communication and pick a team that works together! E.G. Tempest, Flux, Wretched Hag, SoulStealer, and Behemoth is a great team, that with good communication and teamwork will definitely win.
I'm up for a game with you! Send me a PM!![]()
