Game crashes before update

When I'm prompted if I want to update or not and I click yes the game freezes and stops responding. Anyone else who has this problem?
(It crashes the second I press yes, no patch loading bar or anything like that)

Same here, i dont see why s2 decided to change the patching system, my patching never screwed up before this new system
