How to Magmus mid?

Tittle says it all. How to be good solo mid magmus? Any tips/tricks?Or should i even go magmus mid in 1400's(1460atm)

I love going magmus mid
I put points usually in stun and my 3rd ability, but if I see that the enemy can't kill me/stun me/w/e in steambath, I put a point in that too. Play aggressively with your passive. You can easily kill him. If you see that 2-3 creeps can be last hitted at once, go and last hit them. That'll deal a ton of magic damage to him, then go to stun him. Try killing him this way. I usually go something like
Bottle -> phase boots -> PK -> then build according to situation(if i'm raping really hard, spellshards maybe. If they have lots of CC then BKB, i prefer BKB tbh. Then I buy whatever my team needs. If I need some survivability, I'd maybe even get a vanguard or if I can really afford it, I'd buy a heart.)
Another build I somtimes go is
Ring of Mana(replace bottle if I can't beat enemy mid to runes) -> Phase/Steamboots/ -> PK -> Luxuries according to situation.

magmus mid is simple anyway, so go try it!

Yes, Thank you very much. I have played Magmus mid like few times, and in 1400 bracket they do not understand how good it is and how accetable is to go magmus mid. Ive watched much moons"Swagmus" and i see its rly strong.

I think i gona play some magmus mid tomorrow, see how i can do ;o

If you're on Legion side, if the lane's pushed up, stack the Easy Camp on your way back and forth from bottom rune. Then take advantage of that Molten Touch for some booster for your golds. ^^

If he isn't range then you can put a few points into your steambath instead, especially if he doesn't have any aoe stuns.

Mag completely owns in melee lanes though with his passive.

Hi, im a 1750 magmus player and i think you should definitely pick magmus in your bracket, if played well he can completely wreck bad opponents who often clump up for no reason.

its been covered mostly by generalnoob already but be careful of how painful ranged heroes are too you, magmus has really low base armour.

Yes, i know that ranged heroes are pain if u are Magmus mid, they hit hard.

Laneing magmus mid isnt a good idea, Sure , it may work on 1500-1600 people who dont harass and who stay too close to the creeps and get harassed themselves , but i assure u, once u get to the higher brackets, it will never work , and u will get harassed right out of the lane and back to your base .Magmus is squishy,and if u want to go mid , your only logical option would be to get a hatchet and a shield. There is simply no other way. Without a shield, you have 1 armor and u will survive for roughly 1 minute until u will have to go back to your base, and without a hatchet u wont be able to lasthit and harass consistently with your passive.
Getting both of them is a must, and if u do that u will still be very squishy (around 500 hp) and u will have a low mana pool witch will allow only 1 stun early on in the game.
My advice to you, give up on this idea and play him properly by setting up ganks, roaming and supporting. Trying to take on the role of a mid hero, when there are so many better mid heroes out there isn't recommended, and u will fail most of the time once u reach a higher bracket.
If u want to be a better player, try playing heroes as they were intended and leave improvisation and crazy tactics for latter on in your hon "career"

I've kinda given it up becouse i dont know how to play magmus mid properly, seems its only done by good players in high bracket(like 1650++-1750)

magmus has trashy armor and doesn't get amazing with early levels (pebbles, hag and soulstealer will win a game because fo early levels)

the whole point of magmus mid is to counter another melee, if you're against a ranged hero volcanic touch won't be effective so it's not only a lost lane but also a pointless lane.

If you do go against another melee you can harass them out of lane with volcanic touch, this allows you to get early farm and towers.

If your opponent leaves the lane you should be smashing creeps with stun and volcanic touch.

Due to you going mid you will have farm for an early pk (don't buy a mana ring for the love of god)

with your early pk landing your ult becomes game changing against the under leveled heroes you will be facing, so call for early teamfights by pushing which you will all win due to you having pk
