Question 3k Games played but still 1650 rated?

Hello my ingame name is Graxex and i've been playing HoN since beta. and before that i've been playing Dota.
Well the question is why am i still 1650 rated when i've played like 3k games?
Im playing a "decent" support but im always getting teamed up with some guys who dont really get farm?
maybe its just me? maybe i need some more map awareness and need to know better when to harass an enemy and when not to do?
i'm trying to always carry a tp and do the warding and even counterwarding but still i'm not raising at mmr?
im often watchin streams to see if i could lern something there and i've read the black code but like the things i've red there 90% of the things i already knew them!
Anyone who think they can help me or maybe give me an idea what i need or what i could do to improve my gameplay?

    -Graxex

If you play support, it all comes down to your teammates...You can provide them with all the resources they need to win, such as warding the enemy jungle for ganks, but if your teammates don't use them, then it's all for nothing.

Obviously if you play a really good support then your chances of raising in MMR go up as opposed to if you play a crappy support, but in the end it's luck of the draw when it comes to what type of players your teammates are.

That's why you should always friend-list players you know are capable of playing well, so you can play together in the future and maybe get rid of one of the random strangers you would have gotten.

Try to find a good carry player with whom you can lane, generally helps a lot if you have someone you can trust with good farm, even if the other lanes screw up you'll have a good chance.

This needs to be said more, about the teammates, because sometimes if the person really tries hard to play their role and their teammates just fail and drop them constantly, some games are won some are lost. that premise about "where you belong" is seriously bullshit to some degree because my game changes drastically if I can get teammates that can coordinate on my level, but if they're going to sit in pool or leave, I can't do **** about it but say "I tried my best". It seems to happen more often than people say about you'll win and lose. I tend to lose more than I win, and some times it's clearly not my fault. People tend to forget that when you raise in MMR/PSR with higher level players the game tends to be more enjoying and consistent, of course if someone is really not where they belong then they will not be able to hang with those players on that skill levels, but being low is really a Rut in hon... when you have to rely on pubs who aren't willing to comply. I get people who have told me they are simply their to play for fun while they choose to build parasite and codex on heroes like scout when they need to focus on having decent damage output late game and be a big part in bringing success to the team to win, and then their are those teams that you'll get the other mid player who will completely run over your team and not you, and they become mentally bent and give up.

I believe he meant you were a 1400 player, but let's stay on-topic here. <.<

Well, I have about 400 NM MMR games and at a bit over 1640, but win rate at 52%. I don't mind where I'm at because I still got a lot to work on and learn if I want to feel comfortable playing against some of the tougher 1700s on a consistent basis.

But the thing I noticed about 1600 players or players of any bracket with so many games is that they can play well, but only well as a standard for their bracket. Like when you play support, do you really feel that it's bracket-busting quality support, or just good enough support to win games in the 1600s? In other words, compare your plays to that of higher players who do your role(s) and see if you can compare well.

well, why would you play like a 1700 in 1500 bracket? The idea is that if you stack camps the carry will not kill them unless you tell them or will be like "duuuuh o'kay,i go/armadon".if you ward a certain tower that you want to push, they will jungle or push other unwarded lanes. The idea is that you need to synergize with your team.It is like you want to match 2 pieces of lego that don't fit(one bigger and one small). You will force them and they will break.

Ifyou play good support, good players will want to play with you. Because everyone likes to carry and play semi carries. So if you can do the job of making a good carry player set off every game you should raise your mmr quickly.

If you know you're getting teamed with **** teammates then you should probably not focus on playing support. Try getting better at all the roles, 3K games +, you should have no issues what-so-ever playing most if not every role in the game.

Dont know what else to say to be honest, if you're serious about getting better and all you do is play support, then change it up. Trust me, you'll learn more if you play outside your safetyzone than watching someone pubbing 1600s.

If you play like a 1700 in the 1500 bracket, your team has at least one person playing at a level above that of the bracket + four players playing at a 1500 level = better chance to win than a bunch of 1500s all playing at a level of a 1500.

If your carry is too busy derping around, considering everyone picks carries in the 1500s, get someone else to farm your camps. If your carry is a harder carry than theirs, start up some ganks on their carry, and give your carry time to get there with his fabulous 220 GPM. Close that gap.

And you make the pieces fit. I know, leadership and communication skills don't come easy to everyone, and not everyone listens, but you just have to keep the mentality that you're playing at a better level and find the way to win.

regardless of your role you still make mistakes.

Have you ever watched a replay of yourself? Find every death and see what you could've done to avoid it, doing stuff like that helps a lot.
Even if your carry never finds farm you can still better yourself.
In this world gone mad, we won't spank the EM players, the EM players will spank us.
