I always find that, even in Midwars when I buy Power Supply first, accumulate 15 charges in 2 minutes, it can heal 30% hp at BEST, and it heals practically nothing by level 10. Why does everybody call it better than the situationally superior Chalice, the more substantial and reliable Bottle that can rune, or potions? It never really *heals*, it mitigates small amounts of damage you've already taken through spells, and the mana regain is awful on almost any hero other than a few strength initiators who see a lot of spells and have little mana anyway.
30% hp is a huge number. Many times usage of the power supply right before you see that last spell / auto flying at you can be the difference between life and death. It's a good way to surprise your enemy and can turn around fights.
It's better than chalice in that it gives more useful stats usually, and actually gives you health / mana instead of taking health in exchange for mana. A chalice is only better if you are playing a hero that uses a lot of mana farming creeps, has a natural way to regen the health back, and won't see a lot of combat in order to get charges for power supply.
The bottle offers no stats, the heal dispels on damage, and it only has three charges. The only way to refill these charges is by going to the well (wasting time) or getting runes if you're capable. A bit unreliable at times.
+207 to health pool (if you can use it between stuns)
+264 to mana pool
Can use it to force the opponent to overextend by using it just before a projectile impacts. Heal works in every case except being stunned or LS ulti. Cost is very low with an extremely easy buildup. The reason it often is the last item replaced (in competitive) is because of how high the utility of using it more than once in a teamfight extends a hero's mana pool.
Just to compare to Chalice
-93 health pool
+139 mana pool (CD is such that you can only use once in a teamfight)
You cannot use bottle or potions through damage.
As far as mid wars goes. I don't recommend rushing Power Supply. Getting all 15 charges can be difficult before actually needing to use them. You're better off delaying it until you fill your inventory IMO.

It's good cause it's instant healing with no regeneration, and it's cheap. Those few charges has saved my life more then once. Chalice usually don't save lifes since it drops HP and it's only really useful if you have a decent health regenration already, lite a tube, helmet or maybe shamans.
Well, power supply is instant and doesn't hurt you wich is better to have the slightly amont of HP that can make you escape a tight situation, now it doesn't got a big couldown like chalice, and the regeneration is crazy, when you're in a teamfight it charges really really quick because every hero does a spell = at least 5 charges = at least + 70 hp and mana, wich means enough to do a stun and escape, or do a tp, or being able to tnak one last hit taht should kill you but doesn't. That's why it is strong, but every objet got weak points, it still better than chalice because if u're not farm then u become a squichy hero that cannot be able to stand long in teamifhgt as a power supply does, but the mana gave by chalice is way much better and stable that the one you got with power supply. Power supply can be good all day long but it's not a stable amoiunt of mana. This is the weaks points and the strongs points of this item, i hope it helped you !
Edit : ho and power supply is good only in teamfight, and vs spam heroes spell like elonia... Aramadon... If you buy it as a first item, it's really really weak because the regeneration ain't stable, and if you lane against hero that spell only in the case they spell kill you instantly if they manage to hit you like gladiator, then uour buy was a waste![]()

Excuse me, but "God" is written with only one "O"."Why is Power Supply Good?"

Power Supply is much better for clutch plays and has relatively low cooldown. The idea isn't that you'll be getting charges from spells that hit you, but you'll be getting charges from spells that you dodge, spells that are used on allies, spells that are used by enemies to heal etc. It's a no-brainer against Armadon, Slither, Chipper, Panda, etc.
So it provides better stats, doesn't need to be maintained, and has no downside on use - it's instant.
For players who have the situational awareness of a hawk, it also acts as a radar. I've only ever seen this done in DotA highlight videos, but if you suddenly get a charge on your power supply when no one is around, you know that an enemy is nearby and just used a spell. Say, in the fog, valk ulted, accursed put up his shield, scout vanished, etc.
The instance I recall is when Merlini on Zues (thunderbringer) got a power supply charge and ulted, revealing potm (valk) and 2 of her allies invisible just on the other side of the trees.

The instant heal and instant mana regen is extremely good, and the item itself because extremely good in mid wars due to all 5 heroes being on lane casting spells, it will charge up extremely fast, making it worth the money x 10![]()

Well in midwars i usually don't start out with a power supply, but a mana battery and upgrade it later
Whenever a big fight happens, and you're low on HP/MAna, it's good to remember that if the other time is likely low as well. Simply sitting in the trees for a moment or two, letting them cast spells on allies or whoever, and then coming back in with enough mana/health to finish someone off is huge.
Compare that to just running back to the well to heal and being useless like most people.
Because it's the best item in the game (besides a push stick of course)
Yep.. It's perfect for midwars![]()

Cheapest heal item, indicator to avoid gladiator and deadwood's stun/grab.. Out of all the items, this is the best in game when it comes to the cost/efficiency factor.
It can bait someone into chasing you, then you suddenly use your power supply and bam, extra 150 hp and 225 mana. If you had that amount of hp/mana earlier, he might not have chased.
And a lot of people start out with totems already, mana battery itself is a great item in lane, and for 240, taking 3 slots into 1 and also giving 5 extra charges is worth it.
Theres no real reason not to get it, its great for clutch moments and in midwars with all the spells being used and the low CD its just so good
