Alright, today I'll start trying out players.
Before I got picked up by Fnatic I organized two clans, both of them with more than 150 tryouts. I know the drill.
In roughly two months I want to have created and established a team that can play at the top.
Why that 'late'? Because one of the most valuable lessons I learned is the importance of friendship and synergy within the team. And you can't achieve that in a couple days.
Besides, there will be a little twist in my recruitment - which is the reason why I even write a post about it.
I want to give promising talents and old hands a chance alike. There's no use in enforcing a team out of experienced players when the next N0tail is waiting somewhere out there, desperately trying to get into the scene.
Obviously I won't be able to try out
everyone including those with a slightly damaged self-perception. Thus I need to take those condemned stats into account.
Due to my experience in creating teams I unfortunately need to underline that noone of you has the
right to be tried out. I'll decide whether I want to spend the time or not. At the same time, however, I can assure you that fairness and honesty are two very important subjects in this process.
There's no perfect way to approach me
but please refrain from messaging me ingame about this.
You can write
in the respective thread or write a pm to me. Even a private message
on my facebook page works.
If you have what it takes, go ahead.
Introducing yourself shouldn't result in a wall of text but more than one sentence would be appreciated. Your main and possible sub account is required as well as a working microphone. I won't post a PSR/MMR/region restriction here but the first filter will be based on stats as mentioned before.
Thanks for reading.
Ps: I want to share something totally unrelated to my departure from Fnatic but highly related to every second topic in these and other forums.
During our bootcamp at the Gameffect netcafe in Sweden, we had Heroes of Newerth, League of Legends and Defense of the Ancients 2 players, in short, HoNtrash, LoLfags and Dotards all in one place. Why is it that we were able to discuss the games and even try to learn something else from each other, despite the fact that the games put emphasis on different parts? Shouldn't we hate each other for the fact that the other guy plays a crappy, inferior game?
Obviously I can state that I dislike LoL for this and that reason. But that's personal preference and nothing else. I like Broodwar more than II. That doesn't make Broodwar the better game, even if others agree with me. The difference in playerbase for the games defines by no means it's worthiness but gives credit to marketing strategies and given circumstances.
And every game has its own flaws and benefits.
Ofcourse you will find that problem within everything concerning taste, such as music, art or movies - but I would like to remind some of you that these arguments are simply useless.
Pss: I havn't decided yet whether to stream on ow3nd or twitch but I'm planning to stream in latest one week from now on.
