    no .

Hamcake. To get the key you had to register for the BYOC in advance to Dreamhack. The Bring your own computer part is still true, but you had to register in advance.

For those interested - the tryouts have started. For now the clan is very crowded and it looks messy but I've seen some interesting players today.

Keep in mind that this isn't solely done to create my personal team but it's also a good opportunity for many unknown high level players to get connections with each other and start new teams themselves. Already after one day I believe this is working out quite nicely.

And in my humble opinion Fnatic did pretty well vs. Na`Vi (with their standins). They will get better and better, I'm sure.
    Good luck with your team,

let me know if you need any help with clan management.

So I just messaged Tjernobylbarnet, the DotA 2 admin at this years DH 2012 even and inquired how the key distribution was handled. He said that the keys were handed out in the form of a card at the event when confirming your presence for the BYOC event; similiar to these:

DotA 2 Beta keys for all BYOC attendees at DreamHack Summer 2012
To celebrate the announcement of this major eSports event, Valve, the developer of DotA 2, will provide a free DotA 2 beta key to everyone in the BYOC area at DreamHack Summer 2012. The keys will be distributed in the coming weeks via the DreamHack booking system, which will give all attendees the chance to win some big prize money.
Today all participants with BYOC tickets to DreamHack Summer 2012 can pick up a Dota 2 beta key by log in to bokning.dreamhack.se.

"HoN is a hardcore "moba" game, not an esport game. Yes we have the best title for eSports in our genre, but eSports and its players accounts for very very little of HoN's playerbase,"

Nah, please explain how all my friends got a working DotA2 key by booking a seat? Love people like you. Screaming big but alas don't know a **** what (s)he talks about.

  12. #212
All that bought a table seat to DH got a free beta key to dota2, and some other games.
why are people that didn't even was at DH saying that only the BYOC in the Dota2 got keys.
last winter (DH11 Winter) it was only the people that signed up for the turnament that got keys. but this year all got one, no matter what if you had one or not.

and please get back to topic instead. Nova #1

Well, I was misinformed and readily admit I was wrong and rescind my comments prior and apologize for calling dood a hontard. HoN still wasn't the most played MOBA at DH though and DotA 2 wasn't even part of the listed games thus no empirical data to show how popular it was, so shinkz was wrong about that; but I doubt he'll admit it.

Shinkz always loves to write random bullshit that is completly wrong. He did it before, I proved that he was wrong, he replied with "LOL TROLL ADDED TO IGNORELIST". So yea, you might just want to ignore him.

league of legends is better than dota 2 because it has more players

"It's not like Dota2 has hilariously bigger proscene than HoN"
    Hahahahaheahehahahaehahahahahahahahahahaahahhahaha hahaehaheahahheahehaahahahahahehahahahahaha
Give me a list of the top 16 teams in Hon, and I mean names that people recognize.

If I say Na'vi, EHOME, mTw, INFS, Darer, Evil geniuses, Absolute legends and Quantic gaming you say?

    TTes and Fnatic?
(PS: I love TTeS btw, MORE GG MORE SKILL <3 White-Ra <3 )

Dota proscene has been here for what, 10 years(?) and has been huge ever since Dota allstars was released, while Hon was big when it was pay-2-play,
and got completely screwed over by the pay-2-win system that is buying heroes before they are released so the less hardcore people leave and then you have.. what?
Some people playing the game and some teams playing the game, but no pro scene, no community, and not really a game.

This game is running on fumes atm, I am glad I sold my account when they went away from pay-2-play.

Please don't forget mousesports, darer, m5, complexity, CLG, next.kz, fnatic, iG, LGD, Orange, TongFu, Duskbin, MUFC, WE, DK, WW, znation, Virtus.Pro, SK with sayuri (apparently still building a team or something), TyLoo..

Those are just names of bigger teams with actual sponsors behind them.

As I said - just leave shinkz in his dreamworld where everything he says is right and everybody else is wrong. He apparently enjoys it there.

w/e. As NoVa said, should keep that discussion out of here. so pce
