I have to restart the game after every match which can be quite frustrating as i then cant see the stat sheet after game

Happens 90% of the time for me as well.

Currently running Windows XP 32-bit here. People told me it might have something to do with it.

This problem has existed for almost 9 months and S2 still hasn't solved it.

For me sometimes it goes away right after patching the game, but after about 2 or 3 games it starts happening again 90% of the time. XP 32-bit.

i have tried xp 32 and 64 bit, win7 64bit home premium, they all crash after disconnect. s2 refuses to fix the problem. yet another reason why i do not spend anymore money on this game.

This used to happen to me ALL the time until about 2days ago i found a way to stop it.
    Step1: Start HoN(No duh)
Step2: Go straight to play now and go midwars solo queue
step3: After you load and actually get into the queue, quickly exit the queue
    Step4: Relog into your account
Step5: Play whatever game you want
Step6: When disconnecting from game, instead of clicking the big disconnect button, go to menu and click disconnect from there. Even thought it says your leaver will increase, it actually wont

    R-R-R-R-Rage fix

I had the same problem months ago. As a "good" user I saved the crash dump and uploaded it. After months of no response - nor a single note in the changelog that they fixed it - I decided to fix the problem myself. I'm not gonna go into details how it's done, but it works. If you want, you can download and try it yourself.

    Here's how to use it:
    - Make a copy of your current cgame.dll from the game directory for backup
    - Unpack the downloaded archive into your "Heroes of Newerth/game" directory
    - Run the "DisconnectCrashFix.exe"

    Note:
    - As a new patch comes out, don't forget to use the fix again, except if they fixed it.

If you are a geek, or just interested what it does exactly (and you know some C), you can download the source code from here.

Just felt I needed to stop and note that this is a godsend, I still have to apply this fix to two different computers (XP, 32 bit) every time I patch. Works like a charm. THANK U Z
