We all know that as a business on the F2P model S2 wants as many people to buy their alt avatars as possible. This shot silver coin prices to 3000 each, which makes it nearly impossible to play enough HoN to get even a quarter of those with silver. This is fine, because players don't need all [any] alt avatars (and modding them in is just as good), but I believe players who invest the time into the game should be rewarded and given incentive to play more. This is assuming that cosmetic shop items is the only possible reward past actually enjoying the game--which would be improved by doing other things.
My suggestion is that if the 3000 coin price tag is staying, to increase the silver coin rate. Now if this was done for everyone, it would nullify the point of increasing silver coin prices. Therefore to make it fair and to reward people for playing the game, I propose that we factor in account levels for the coin gain in the following way:
For those at the lowest level with no games played (to maybe level 5, the level of verification) keep the rate as it is currently. With each subsequent level (past 5), simply add one extra coin per level to each MM game reward. For example, at level 10, mid wars would award 13 coins for winning, 11 for losing. This still means players have to invest a significant time to not only get the boost in rate, but the avatar itself (Even players at level 40 would still need to play ~70 games for 3000 coins). But on the other hand, the player sees the payoff in playing the game more and getting levels.
Other formulae could be used of course depending on how much S2 would be willing to concede on the matter (or maybe just put a 'cap').
Another upside to this idea would be that people would more likely want to play on their main account (and not on smurfs/alts) because then the exp would be spread between them, lowering the amount of coins gained. Obviously it won't even remotely fix the smurfing problem, but it might help a little.

Totally agreed! Currently players do not have much incentive to level up except for some gold at level up which rarely happens when your level is high.
Personally I think people should get around +5 for win/+3 for lose at the start and +1 for win every 3 levels and +1 for lose every 5 levels or something around that.
For example if you are level 15 you would get +9 for winning a game and +6 for losing a game.
