Thumbs up Include "Ward of Revelations" in stat page.

This is a simple suggestion to include "Ward of Revelations" to stat page just like "Ward of Sight". In the past Ward of Revelation could be abused because it was available in unlimited quantity, now its limited (just like Ward of Sight).

The reason I think Ward of Revelation should be included is to give an additional incentive for support players as a nod towards what they are doing; supporting the team. Obviously a majority of people are driven by KDR for now since the stat page encourage this kind of mentality. Wards is one of the thing that encourage people to be a support and be able to show it off how awesome they are as a support.

So, there are two option on how the ward of revelation should be shown in the stat page.

Option 1: Just include it in the 'ward' stat, so both ward of sight and ward of revelation counts in a single stats. (I do think this option is preferable)

Option 2: Create a new heading under 'wards' in the stat page for ward of revelation. (I'm just throwing this option here but option 1 is definitely the way to go)

Either way, this means that support player will be rewarded more often with XP/silver since both Ward of Sight and Ward of Revelation will be counted.

In a nutshell, ward of revelation should be recorded in the stat page. The 2 option above are up to S2 on how it should be implemented. This thread is for expressing how a lot of support player would like to see their effort recorded and rewarded!

yes. and i think that putting "wards placed" as a column in the match stats could be also great, as it shows only to you and nobody else. i really dont see a reason why does it show APM, but not wards placed.

I do think that 'ward placed' would be much more relevant than APM in the column, as you suggested. For sure it would create some 'wtf' moment at times when the enemy realize (after the game) that you've place +20 wards during the match. Might create a separate suggestion for that.

Like you say, this only comes from back when rev wards were infinite and people would spam them to increase ward stats. Now that rev wards replenish in the same way as wards of sight, they should absolutely be taken into wards placed-stat to encourage supporting. I also fully support the suggestion of having a wards placed-stat at the end stats of the game, especially rather than APM.

No. If you include wards of revelation, why not include dust as well? Why not include bound eye? How are wards of revelation more important than some other stat (potions used)? For example, I think homecoming stones are more important than wards of rev.

You fail to see that part of the reason to include rev is to give a nod towards Support players, eh? One core feature of a support player is that the said player will be warding and counter warding. Supporting also means letting kills to your carry, sometime 'suicide' just to make sure your carry lives (Andro's ult is a good example how you can suicide to save your carry).

A good support usually have high assist which is rewarded post game and recorded in their stats then supports are also reward for the wards they have placed. Yes, everyone are rewarded by placing wards but support players tend to have high ward rate and would be rewarded more often each time they go through the 50 wards threshold.

So, assist and wards are 2 thing that rewards support players. Now what about the 'other' kind of players? Specially the carries? Kills, Immortal, Annihilation, Smackdown, Bloodlust. A big portion of the stats page is filled with data that will make carries shine. What about that support player with 0.6KDR but with 55% win rate and 5 average wards placed per game? What I am trying to show you is how people are heavilly encouraged to pick carries or semi carry because of the fact its much more rewarding post game but you can also easilly 'show off' your big stat page while support player have to shy away less reward while maybe doing the work that other players will not do (sacrificing your build to buy wards, not last hit enemy hero to give the carry the kill, sacrificing oneself to let the carry live, buy supportive item that will benefit the team rather than the carry himself, etc, etc...)

I made this as an example of how to add the Wards of Revelation into the stats. Removing the XP Earned to make space for it, and rewording the original Wards Placed to Wards of Sight. (The XP Earned basically serves no purpose, as XP/Minute is what people look at if looking at XP anyways)

You may notice a few other differences in the stats screen, part of my suggestion which started from the idea of making space for the Wards of Revelation you suggested.
