Lag because of HoN?

while I am 5 minutes in a game, I get A LOT OF LAG. Not only in HoN but also on VT/Internetbrower. Its so weird because I am only getting this while playing HoN. How come? Do someone know how to fix this, because its really pissing me off now.
I think its HoN's fault//maybe its me getting DDoS'ed while playing on, not sure though.
Please help me, this is the most annoying problem ever.
