Ok so you are in a game and you are not the best on your team and you aren't going to go mid. You are going to be in a lane and you have no idea what your ally is going to be. You need to be able to make sure you win the lane no matter what hero your ally is and what he does.
You are not sure if your role is going to be a support or if you need to be able to carry late game because your mid or carry dropped the ball and you end up being the one that is most skilled after all. So whatever hero you pick requires this flexibility.
What would be the top 5 heroes to pick in such a situation? The goal is to gain mmr, not to gain kd or whatever.

People need to understand is if you're good enough to get out of your bracket playing normally, you will get out of it, Stomping a bracket with 1 hero isn't going to help you at all.

My top 5 for what your asking for:
1. Gravekeeper- OP in the right hands. Can totally dominate a lane early and semi carry with right items
2. Martyer- Rapes any lane with correct positioning and aggression. Good use of juke/fog and heal potion is needed and the experience to pull off aggresive moves to tap into his full potential.
3. Monkey King- Can rape sidelanes and gank hard all game allowing a semi carry item build up
4. Ra- ability to dominate a sidelane and carry mid/late game
5. Magmus/Bubbles/Jera/Ellonia/monarch- Dosent have the OP lane pressence but can dominate a lane and can carry a game with thier abilities and ulties. Ellonia/monarch is probably the easiest and hardest to carry with depending on the game but has more points in early game dominance then the other 3.

Mine are.
Plague Rider: Creep Deny, Nuke and powerful reliable team fight ability with only 60 sec in late game what more do you want.
Master of Arms: can play as support saving ass from across the map and transition into a deadly semi-carry.
Forsaken Archer: Nice immobilize, early game dps with skeletons and overall nice mix of physical and magical damage both aoe and single.
Keeper: Gain confirmed ck as jungler and then ct as carry/pusher and teamfighter.
Blacksmith: Start 2/3/4xing the heck out of ppl then transition into a powerful support with a team full of frenzy.
O By the way. Strange you have overall decent stats except for someone with negative win-rate. Do you shout at your teammates or something?. if you give advice on what to build or what to do. they will play better. even if it is still not your standard it is better than them throwing the game or if not then playing considerably worse. Or maybe it is probably trolls that will **** you up anyway despite well mannered intentions.

You don't need to play random to not pick the same hero each game sir, And this is a smurf so i just got to the higher bracket asap, If you stomp with 1 hero to a higher bracket, you'll get completely owned with every other hero.
support,because none will buy wards on your team.Pick hag if you got a jungler(like legio and claim solo short lane).If you have good farm get your items,if not get wards.If you don't have a jungler pick andromeda.Get wards.If everything works okay you will have enough money for some carry items if you got no carry or no capable carry in your team.
Nah magebane is rather team reliant. If he can't farm then he's useless.
There is no magic way of gaining mmr.
Play better and nicer then your opponents and you win.

In that case, you should pick what your team needs the most. If your team already has everything it needs, and what you want is to win the lane, maybe the best heroes to do this would be ophelia or parasite.

There are certain picks that you can never go wrong with. Pretty much anything ranged with a stun/slow will fit into any lane or any team, generally. 9/10 they are support heroes (Plague, Witch, Glacius, Nymph), however, if you're looking to be able to farm and semi-carry if need be, then Pyro and MOA are great picks. They are ranged, they have stuns and they farm extremely well. With Pyro/MOA, you can literally take no creeps kills for the first 10 minutes and have the highest GPM in the game by 20-25 minutes. They can solo-kill really well and they have great teamfight synergy with most heroes.
If I have no idea what to pick for a team and I'm not mid, then I usually pick Pyro, Plague, or Nymph. If it looks like I am going mid and I don't know what to pick to best synergize with my team, then I usually pick Bubbles for the same reason.
I consider myself a really bad drafter if you know what I mean, I can't find which heroes counter which heroes and that destroys me...So when I'm in doubt I just pick Pyro and carry my way out, wheter I go mid or sidelane. One of the funniest heroes to play when you get some mana regen and a PK.

In general ranged heroes with stun and the possibility of snowballing at some point
Ranged heroes because you might end up with a melee and dual melee sucks..
A stun because you would be able to create kills easy with another stunner
All 4 heroes can carry with the right amount of farm
Else pick a jungle hero that can lane - either way it's somewhat decent for your team
But at the same time he is 100% right, whether he heard it from someone else or not. You shouldn't come here and insult someone who is trying to help you. Actually, you are the one who made an idiot of yourself thinking you can win a game/ get out of your bracket with just 1 hero, The heroes are irrelevant to a degree, it's your skill that will determine what happens, and what i mean by irrelevant to a degree is that, sure, you may be able to win a lane with just dominate heroes period such as arachna slither or gankers like gauntlet, but if you're good you can win with pretty much anyone with a bit of skill and consistency or at least bring the team close to it.
Just one hero? wowow, the idiocy here is stunning. I play all heroes.
Also, my mmr on my main account is high enough. Just wondering what other people think. I didn't post my own top 5 because I didn't want to bias the first reactions, but at this point I won't. I don't see any constructive discussion go on anyway. Just idiots with big egos insulting.
