Made some significant modifications to Malikens skin and icons, making him look more ""healthy"" and not so corrupted or evil, although the possession spell and skin were kept, to justify him being on the Hellbourne side :P

Installation (textures)
To install, download this file and extract it. You then have to add the folders "00000000", "00000003" and "00000005" to the file "textures.s2z" in your Heroes of Newerth\game directory.
(You can open textures.s2z with WinRar).
Windows: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Linux: /home/<username>/HoN/game/
Mac:
1. Press Finder
2. Press Applications
3. Right click 'Heroes of Newerth', and press Show containing files
4. Open Game folder
5. Move file here
(I also included the original files in the "Original Textures" folder. To restore the original icons, simply drag those "00000000", "00000003" and "00000005" folders onto the file textures.s2z (or add them by using WinRar))
This mod does overwrite game files (the textures).
Incompatibility with other mods
This mod is not compatible with any other mod modifying the hero icon or the textures of Maliken. For a list of all mods and what files they modify check the Repository.

If you're going for a "redeemed" theme, I don't think dark colors like dark blue and purple will work. You need some brighter colors. Also needs hair. xD
You're probably right :P But the purple is the player color xP
The blue should probably been a little lighter and I will maybe change it later, and add some normal steel-color.
But hair? No, that's not possible. I would have to make an entirely new model. Which ain't gonna happen :P

Yeah, it would be :P I only got the golden in, tho :S
So I updated it now, think it looks a lot better, not so dark as the blue armor. He almost looks human now![]()

Demon form is still demon form :P
I was considering an angel form, but the amount of work it would take? Endless. I would have to create an entirely new model, skin, icons, animations, material files, transform-files, etc..
So it probably won't happen, no :P
I like to see it this way: He's the good king Maliken, but he's already dabbled in the arts of corruption![]()

Make him look more like Maliken, Maliken was black and had a white beard, here in HoN his skin is blue, make his armor Black and Silver.
But the point is to make him look more king-like and honorable. Hence the golden armor and prettied up sword. To make his armor black would reverse the process, making him look more hostile.
And BTW: It is here I'm supposed to post things like this to get the into the repository, right?

Nooooooo this is the only texture and abyss wraith texture that i got. Make his flames more holy.:P
Sorry, but I've kinda stopped modding HoN :S I mod Dragon Age: Origins now :P
I'm sure you can do it, too. It's just to change the color values in the ".effect" or ".entity" files![]()

Yeah you can mod the colors of particles and such by just editing text files
But the color values are kinda ****** up. They go from 1-9 in some cases and in other cases from 0-1. With decimals, obviously. It's 1/255*RGB-color-value, I think, but not exactly sure :S
