Is it even possible to counter chain mail without waiting till its down? Does true strike render it useless? post your experiences.
Aaaaaaand by chainmail you mean Barbed Armor? Cause you know, chainmail is that small 550g armor item.
Use Hellflower before he uses Barbed and kill him before the Perplex effect goes down.
If the topic is indeed about Barbed Armor... If you are playing a hard carry and are getting countered by it, best work-around around it is getting lifesteal. So he returns 80% of the damage you do to yourself? But what happens if you are stealing 175% of the damage you are dealing? Yeah.
Other guys who suffer against Barbed a lot (Chipper and Defiler) only way to deal is stacking lots of hp and... sometimes you are just screwed.

Barbed is always most hilarious vs Witch Slayer, Pyro or TB
It's frustrating, but usually the best bet is either to tank the damage, or find another target. You'll usually find that the heroes who get barbed armor tend to be tanky strength heroes who may not be a high priority target in the first place.
