Suddenly hon started to lag on my computer, like it's needing more ram or something

i'm playing Dead Space 2 on my pc too and it works perfect!

i tried reinstalling hon, setting graphics to lowest and trying different resolutions, unchecking options
i checked free space (37gb) and paging size (2gb starting, 20gb max)
I updated nvidia drivers to latest (6.14), also directx(9.0c).

and still hon only has the problem, all other games are perfect!
and there's nothing else running on background, i tried restarting my pc, launching only hon and still sucks.
then i hit alt+ctrl+del and there's nothing else taking resources but hon.

any ideas? thank u

Noticing mods are active. Check if disabling it does the trick.

2) CPU
Your CPU is currently being read at 1596 MHz, which is under the min specs. Check that your CPU is not being throttled down. Usual occurrences of this is a energy saver mode.

3) RAM
Two GB of total RAM, while above the min specs, may not be enough and may lead to virtual paging, which is slower by nature. One solution is to buy additional RAM, as they are cheap. You can also end all background processes that are heavy on RAM (web browsers, torrents, ...). You can also try running in OpenGl as I believe it uses less RAM than DirectX (Options > Graphics > Drivers).

i deleted everything on HoN\game\mods
and removed any .s2z file on HoN\game\ except resources0.s2z and textures.s2z

every cooler/fan are working perfect, none is stuck or spinning slow, temperature about 47 for gpu, cpu and all others the program shows.

for paging space im using disk E ( e:\pagefile.sys ) 2gb initial, maximum of 20gb. it works great, i've had this conf. for more than 5 years and i played a lot of games including hon with no problem at all.

only HoN has the prob since 2 or 3 days.

i tried using openGL and lower resolutions and options, i even reinstalled old nvidia drivers and reinstalled hon. and there's nothing on background taking resources other than hon. remember i also play dead space 2, works like there's no problem.
still nothing. can't play hon.

i dont know what to do now, im gonna try a clean reinstall on hon, again. this time i uninstall first.

If its over heating, download speedfan, it will let you change the speed of your fans and see the temp of your GPU, etc, if you computer does not support this, like mine.
I did some ghetto rig, and took my case off and put a box fan next to it, brought my temp. from 160 while playing, to 95...

I reinstalled windows, updated all drivers, installed hon.
