Hey guys!
I love to play Archna cause she just has the best attack animation in HoN in my opinion. She has her webbed shot and attack damage buff which really makes her a killing machine even without alot of damage-items.
Problem I really have when playing Archna is survivability. I'm pretty good at playing her in the background not exposing myself too much. But still if you ever get initiated on it's a good chance you'll drop fast cause shes just really weak up close. I'm fine with that but how to you recommend to get her more survivability?
I've tried to get her behe heart, sol's and deamonic which are reallly great items but feels like they are 2 expensive to get her since it still don't help her out alot to be worth the cost.
Tips and trix to improve my Archna, please!
First, make Steamboots and have them at STR for the extra hp.
Assassin's shroud is also good as it might let you escape if you get initiated on as long as you're not instagibbed - you can also upgrade it to genjuro since the extra AGI scales well with Arachna due to her passive. Also, consider buying mystic vestmnts if the other team has some magic damage going on. It's cheap and makes a lot of difference. Then get a Geometers Bane - the extra STR and illusions can be a lifesaver End-game you can get a Symbol of Rage - with all that damage you will be hard to take down due to massive lifesteal. Daemonic BP and Behe Heart are mostly for STR heros and if bou build them you'll be giving up on a lot of damage. I would avoid getting these on Araachna tbh.

Try streamboots + insanitarius, its actually very good. Alot surviveability and insanitarius gives some nice atk speed + damage.
Ghost Marchers > Helm > PK > Geos/Shrunken
As mentioned, Steamboots are probably the better boots for Arachna. I also like to opt for an early Ring of the Teacher, because it's all you really need to sustain your mana pool and it will allow you to solo push towers, which is especially important in the current pubtrain meta.
If you're able to spend a lot of time farming (queued with friends and the enemy team isn't doing a push strat) you may want to opt for an early Whispering Helm. Arachna has the damage output to make use of the lifesteal and you can make use of the creep domination effect to stack ancients/other camps, and even push other lanes when/if your team groups up to push. I find that with Whispering Helm Arachna can take out at least double stacked ancients fairly early on if you pull the ancients back far enough that they aren't all attacking you at one time.
Assassin's Shroud into Genjuro can be another good route to go. If the enemy team isn't likely to invest heavily into countering your invisibility, then it can serve as a good escape mechanism. Also, because you've gone Steamboots over Ghost Marchers, Shroud/Genjuro will help your positioning issues if you're playing aggressively. Genjuro in and of itself is an excellent item for Arachna in terms of synergy. Really, the only part that isn't largely beneficial to you is the slow on attack.
Other than these items, other good choices include (but are not necessarily limited to) Geometer's Bane, Symbol of Rage and even Hellflower. Hellflower especially can be very useful for solo ganking if your enemy's tend to TP away. But, in reality, this item may not be the best choice because you won't really be making much use of the mana regen or the +intelligence. Also, if you rush this item to allow solo ganking, then you really aren't solving survivability issues which was the question of this topic. :P
More specifically for survivability, if you have a Shrunken Head then you can spend more time auto-attacking, which if you have lifesteal, will allow you to stay in the fight longer. Symbol of Rage, as mentioned before, will also greatly increase your staying power. Other than these, you could get Wingbow for the evasion if the enemy team largely consists of physical damage or even Riftshards at this point, because your damage will be so high that the crit will be worth it and this will further increase your staying power with lifesteal.
Get Whispering Helm first, then get Shroud, then Shrunken Head, then Genjuro and then finish with Symbol of Rage, that's the carry potential of Arachna in my opinion.
Geo's Bane is good for the extra stats and STR and the debuff dispell and Wingbow makes you attack super fast and scales super well with your passive (base damage %), so get them too as soon as you can.
Early game Throw some big ol' Bracers and vestments
Mid game Helm or Shrunken
Late game. Ye still a behemoth's or a breastplate.
You have insane slowing abilities. no way you'll be doing too little damage surviving longer for some more sling shot action and probably a 2nd ulti if fights last long enough. Put that slow on as many targets as possible if going tanky. Too much health. no worries just buy a DPS item instead.
Steam > Whispering Helm > Geo/Shrunken Head > Geo/Shrunken Head > Savage > Satanic/Wingbow > Satanic/Wingbow
With this build you get a good mix of damage and survivability i really dislike Shroud on Ara though you could get a genjuro instead of wingbow but generally its a bad idea since you have to get it early and it will delay items such as geo's and SH.
Ok. So if you leave a game, you are sent an AIDS needle. Additionally, you get +1 disconnect AND are forced to play as Kongor next game. You can't leave his lair, except when a rune spawns. You must run directly to the rune (still as Kongor) and guard it. If you do not do this, then HoN immediately shuts down and formats your hard drive and injects you with the AIDS needle.
Not sure Whispering Helm stacks with Webbed shot. OT a Nullstone could go far in boosting your all-around survivability, especially with well timed Carapace. Carapace is there specifically for improving Arachna's survivability and the combo of single target negation, debuff removal, ang high magic armor along with Arachna's natural high armor should keep you alive.
Agi gain (=armour gain) high as ****, insane juke capbility and a spell that pretty much negates all magic dmg. Why do you need survivability again?
Geobane or nullstone either one of those is great, I prefer geobane, after that you can keep it up by building a shrunken and then go for the actuall damage.
Geobane doesn't look much but gives some decent str and agi for armor, the shrunken gives str too.
Tanky you say?
Steams, Beheheart, frostwulfskull, frostfield plate, deamonic, Shrunken.
If Sol's Blessing cant fix it, nothing can....
