    Riftwalker's Ultimate

    Hello,
    I'd like to suggest something about RiftWalker.
    I'd like to say that RiftWalker needs a change about his ultimate.
    I mean an addon by change. I think Staff of the Master should affect ultimate.
    And it should read;
    Staff Upgrade:
    Makes the spell global range.
    Because in combat he GENERALLY gets stunned and it makes me get frustrated. That's why I build carry on RW.
    And I hope that makes him more PLAYABLE

    I honestly think that would be a bit to much for the cooldown of the skill.
    A change could be decreases channel time by X or increases casting range X, but global would be a bit to much..

    Are you casting your ulti while in the midst of a teamfight? Then it is no wonder somebody interrupts the channel. If you want to do that you need something that prevents you from getting interrupted like shrunken head (doesnt help you against superior magic or physical interruption thought) or a shroud / genjuro (activiate it after you activated your ult channel; doesn't help you against AOE interrruption), but dunno if these items actually make sense on her.

    In general you should use the ulti to either initiate or counter initiate though, for the latter case you should try to position yourself not exactly at the very front (at least prior to the teamfight).

    Riftwalker's ultimate is by no means bad. Its aoe magic damage with superior magic stun and an included portal key. There are other heroes out there with a AOE wreckage initiation ulti (magmus, behemoth,...), who do need a pk to get the best out of it. I really don't see why her ulti should need global range as sotm effect, as it really is by no means a lacking ulti.

    tl;dr: Try to improve your own play and ask yourself if the ulti or rather your performance is the problem before crying for unnecessary changes.

    i think a global teleport stun would be interesting. but she would have to scream chaos control, and maybe up to channel the further the ulti is?

    Sotm effect could make her blink take one or more team mates with her and or drop the channeling or cd time

    *Ahem* (Back for LILluminating some BRAHS who didnt understand me)
    Now;
    Thanks for sharing your vision with me first.
    The thing that I just want to say is, we are playing with pro people not 1400s noob Casual players.
    When we are in combat, every side of it is visible. Wards, sight providing skills and normal sight.
    And most of heroes got ministun, stun or disabling items.
    And RW is one of the most eye-candied hero of the entire game.
    When they see you ultying into combat, they just jump on you and try to get rid of you first and it means, your entire team is DEAD.
    The point is that, most of heroes ults make them THEM. Fayde's Inv makes her Fayde, Flint's ult makes him Flint etc.
    And RW's job is BIG. (Notorious B.I.G. RIP) I play him as a carry (and some people does) but he can be played as a nuker.
    And his MOST spiky spell is his ult.
    Lots of heroes from DotA (I just dont want to talk about it but some people wants to hear that) and HoN has got Global spells
    -Aluna
    -Gyrocopter (Improved)
    -Ancient Appartition
    -Wisp
    -Furion
    etc.
    So, wouldn't it be nice that if you could get SotM and just use your ult.
    When chasing or teleporting or diving, it would be useful.
    Also someone said it will teleport you and your team like Pit Lord's ult from DotA.

    EDIT: Also just wanted to say that you require an item to all the work:
    Staff of the Master means 4200 gold which is a LUXURY item.
    "Farming 4200 is easy" is not an excuse

    No offense but it sounds like your just ulting wrong, walking through rifts ain't easy. If your gettin counter initiated everytime buy counter wards before you go. Hide in fog then ult, also I don't see rw being a carry In top games, pseudo support initiator seems to be more viable. As for global ults, aluna, tb, bomb, nymph, oph, tdl, vindi, ramp (not ult but still.)

    I do not get disabled from my ult all the time,
    But I suggest that it would be nice and removing some risks and giving some kills cost of 4200 gold.
    Also for RW carry build:
    Steamboots, Shroud -> Genj, Shieldbreaker, Chargedhammer, Riftshards and a neccesary item slot for the game (Shrunken, kuldra, eul etc...)

    you're 1500, not playing with pro people. You just aren't good enough to land a spell that you have to channel for 2 seconds, sorry
