I've played in windowed since I've started playing, and I notice that I still miss quite a bit of some free last hits. However, most players play in Full-Screen. So it easier or the same? I'd say it's easier to last hit in Full-Screen just because there are more details and it's easier...but I want to get some intake on this.
The difference is so negligable I highly doubt you'd notice a difference. Why would you play in windowed mode anyway?
Despite what they would have you believe, HoN forum-goers are indeed just a vocal minority, <1700 mmr and more susceptible to confirmation bias than most normal human beings...

Windowed mode will give you lower FPS, that could be why.
