Yup. Everyone playes everyone and then the top 4 (I think) moves on to the semifinals.

this wouldn't make sense though because according to that we only got 2 games?

There are 2 columns; two games will be going on in each time slot.

    Tight schedule is tight.

I Wish they could send Breaky to cast one game and Zyori to cast the other one so we don't miss out on anything... Shouldnt be so hard to find co casters at DH.

100 % with you on that one, blackcat. I doubt it will happen tho

As for the tight schedule, Im afraid most teams wont get the "8 hour minimum" sleep Phil talked about. There will ALWAYS be delays. Especially when the schedule is so tight. If one game starting 17:00 lasts for 60 min + drafting phase (5-10 min), the match supposed to start at 18:00 will be atleast 30 min delayed, since the teams who just played have to pack their gear and then the other teams have to set up. Next hour same happens..... Suddenly the final matches of the day starts at like 5 am.

What I don't get is why it's mushed into two days when it could've been played out over 4?

but also games will hopefully not take 60min/each unless BX3 qualfies in which case the "vs BYOC" games will take minimum of 2h

Presumably because every extra day of the event means an extra day paying for like 12 hotel rooms (two rooms per team)?

Phil stated on podcast that it was not possible to organize finals to be on 3rd day (unless it is at 10 am). So they decided for late finals on 2nd day, basically for better coverage.

To reiterate what I said on the podcast: The time slot to play on the third day in the Dream Arena Extreme was at 10am and could not be rescheduled except to be moved to the day prior. From what I understand the EsportSM (which will include a HoN portion) is going on throughout a large part of the day on the 18th. Anyhow, having the finals at midnight is an excellent time slot for all of our viewers across the globe. I did have some reservation about the times in the group stage, however one of the things we're doing to alleviate that is to have external USB hubs available for each PC that way you're not having to fiddle around behind the PC. You simply plug and play. We did considering forcing everyone to use the same hardware, but came to the conclusion that mouse and keyboard familiarity plays a large role in competitive gaming and do not want to keep our players from playing their best. Teams will have a very limited amount of time to set up their systems and unplug. Basically if you're not scheduled for a match directly after your previous one, you are expected to have your equipment unplugged immediately following the game. Likewise all teams will show up 15 minutes prior to their scheduled match time to set up in the event another match ends early.

With proper management and a no bs attitude, we feel that this tournament and timeline can be run smoothly.

I agree with you on this point. I'm going to be on the Dreamhack Crew as HoNadmin and the first thing they told me were that we have to be REALLY strict regarding the starting of the games. No time for excuses or delaying. Strict schedule in both BYOC and main.
