    Items lore

Not sure how many of you yet to realise, but a large number of the items in the game do come with a lore that describes them in an interesting way. One of the fun trivia is how the name Berzerker was found in Elder Parasite's description long before the hero is implemented.

Anyway, as S2 had been neglecting the lore for a long period of time, the some items (especially the newer ones) don't have lore attached. (according to the Items page on the website):

    • Mana Battery & Power supply
    • Fleet feet [+6 Agi]
    • Major Totem [+4 to Agi/Int/Str] (something to do with the swamp with Polly's connection?)
    • Logger's Hatchet
    • Trinket of Restoration [+2 hp regen]
    • Snake Bracelet [+25% Evasion]
    • Void Talisman [physical immune on use]
    • Blood Chalice (sorry, I cannot accept it as a proper lore)
    • Firebrand (sorry, this is just the old Slash story)
    • Strider
    • Plated Greaves
    • Post Haste
    • Grave Locket (maybe something to do with Gravekeeper?)
    • Tablet of Command
    • Abyssal Skull (this one feels like could have something to do with Hellbourne)
    • Nome's Wisdom (though I have no idea how to integrate the name "Nome" into this lore...)
    • Barrier Idol [AOE magic resistance]
    • Restoration Stone
    • Energizer
    • Iron Shield [2x duckboot + shield]
    • Sol's Bulwark
    • Barbed Armour
    • Spellshards
    • Geometer's Bane
    • Icebrand
    • Frostburn
    • Harkon
    • Symbol of Rage
    • Pickled Brain [+250 max mana]

Since the lore is usually around 3 sentences long that slightly covers the function and adds a Newerth flavour to it, I'm thinking maybe it's fun for us to just chip in a few in the posts. It doesn't have to be elaborate, as long as it is interesting. I'm not a good writer so I won't be doing the first one :P

Just to save you time to visit the items page, here's an example from the webpage for Portal Key:
    "
Portal Keys tear asunder the already tenuous barriers between the dimensions of Newerth and enable one to instantly teleport a modest distance. Because of the volatile energies released, however, a Portal Key can never be used by one who has recently been injured, lest he be torn asunder himself."

Hack and Slash used to have lore pieces, until they were changed into Icebrand and Firebrand and Frostburn
