How to pick a hero before someone can.

How do I pick a hero faster than anyone else can?
To be more specific, I came back to HoN to play Mid Wars because I always find them fun, but one thing really annoys me-That is someone picks Devourer before I can -.-
Is there anyway to pick faster than them?
-I've tried spamming left click many times, still get beaten by them.
Are there any mods or someone that insta picks a hero for you? I know there is one but its only for AP mode.

No. Click faster or ban.

Press ctrl+f8 to bring up the console thingy.

Type in "bind 0 SpawnHero Hero_Artillery" (without the quotations, and I used the 0 key and Artillery as examples).

Press ctrl+F8 again.

Now in pick mode just spam 0 and you should instapick him.

There was an insta-pick mod some time ago, not sure how it worked though cause i never used it.
