I like "thistle" as well. I mean there is a bunch of plant names you can use, why go with snap?

You managed to make a cool hero last time though, but we really don't need more heroes now. Remove broken/retarded heroes like EW, nomad, artillery, gunblade etc to make room for new heroes. It's the only way to go.

There are at least 4 refferences for this one: Monthy Python, The little shop of horrors, Flying Spaghetti Monster and "Oh Snap". Hero looks... erm... like a man-eating green octopus. Also yay for a strenght hero!

I remember in the GOOD old days when DoTA was around, Ice Frog really put a lot of thought into EACH hero to make sure that none of the skills overlapped. Each hero really had is own unique abilities and overall theme. If you look at the old heroes they REALLY did stand out from one another (with exception to Lion (witch hunter) and pyro (athena? I don't remember))... anyways...

S2 did an EXCELLENT job taking DoTA to the next level and ironing out the kinks that DoTA suffered... Fixed Pudge (made him non useless), merged some heroes like electrician (which was great). Came up with a new VERY original hero 'Puppet Master...' etc.

They kept up pace with Ice Frog in SOME hero designs (originality) with later heroes like: Panda. At their disposal they the ability to add new UI interactions with things like Engineers turret direction and zephyrs wind blow direction. Panda is another example, when you press a key he would swing his bo in whatever direction he was facing. These were great.

But, in my opinion they have cheapened the game as of late. I fully understand that they probably make a lot of money off all this store stuff that they sell, and I'm ALL about that. When HoN first came out I thought that $30 for like # of years (and counting) was THIEVERY!! I've supported them by buying gold coins because with this game they've done SO much right.

But it kinda feels like they are selling out now. They've become to big? I dunno. Not really sure their goal anymore. Every hero has inherited basically everything you can imagine. Everyone has AOE, stuns, slows, etc. It's just a spam fest now.

I buy each new hero that comes out to test and later think to myself (after reading all the confusing as hell spell tid bits) that this hero is boring and there's nothing new here. I can think of a million unique spells that have never been done before. I can think of a million new UI controls that S2 hasn't done yet. All this control and the only thing they came up with was the vector mouse clicks (zephyr, chipper).

TL;DR - I dunno who is in the creative think tank there at S2, but they aren't doing their job in terms of original hero development.
