With the arrival of the new forums I was wondering if there would be a new notification system.

I've seen loads of other forums (not running on phbb iirc) that have a certain notification system that gives you a message whenever you've been quoted, or whenever anyone replied to your thread. I know the latter is already possible through your usercp, but being notified when quoted seems like a great addition to the forums in order to reply asap to someone that asks you a question in a certain thread.

My question is, is it possible with the new forums to have such a feature. I heard somewhere it wasn't possible on the old forums (or someone misinformed me, but I doubt it).
