I'm pretty sure that all of the badges in the Misc section beyond Peeping Tom are all just random "consolation" awards. Oh, except hero. That one's pretty obvious.
So like, if you got Fear the Chiprel and Best Looking... you probably want to blow off some steam in another game. This means that you didn't do really anything for the team, but didn't quite feed either.
My theory is its about staying as much as possible in the battlefield without healing / fountain trips. Would make sense. Whatever heroes I play I always get bottle and I always take runes. And get asap hp / mana regen items. And I got many times veteran.
So I think its "Least amount of fountain heals" or something.
EDIT:
Now I found another thread where Necrothic adds
"(most avarage exp)"
what the **** does that mean? how can something be most and average at the same time?

I'm pretty sure you get veteran by staying alive after what would otherwise be a genocide team fight. I always get this award with Armadon after meeting those conditions.
lol :P
Send me a private message if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help you out!
Just played a game with Flint.
I got "The hero Newerth Deserves" and "Best Looking".
Had a bad start, one kill per death sort of, then mid/late game it all turned around. Even getting the more tanky ones too.
Personally i think when "the hero newerth...." is given, it's when you turn the tide and your own progress in the game too. Like a classical "saviour".
I just got "Kongor Lover", got a good theory when the award is given!
Enemy Team was doing transmutenstein and the other dude right, my team went there too.
But not I, i went middle and going for the tower, then there was only I that did not go to transmutenstein.
"HoNored - The lucky winner of the HoNor medallion! (?)" When i got this i actually thought I won something :'(
After playing some midwars this week, here is my contributions to the theory list:
Scout - It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. [Cleared the most first-time fog]
Pulled them in - Made action happen. [most initiations]
Best Looking - It's hard looking this good. [Had the largest amount of focus in team fights]
Wha!? - Did that just happen? [Seen it twice, both with heroes with a Codex. I think it's insta-gib a hero with a codex from full to zero, or kill a hero in a very small amount of time.]
Fought in the Shade - The sun makes me sweat, let's take this fight somewhere cooler. [dealt the most damage from within or next to trees]
Friend to the Chiprels - Fear the Chiprel and his friend. [I think this is destroy the least amount of trees and/or spend the least amount of time near trees]

Seeing as how these awards are completely harmless, I'd like to see them implemented for all games. They're entertaining to see, if nothing else.
My Suggestions:
Divisions in Matchmaking
Role Queuing
Do you have any questions about supporting?
Ask me here!
I dont' think that is true. I once had a game, where Transmutenstein never killed me and i got that award. It seems to be rather random.
I guess best looking honors the best player over an average or whoever is most efficient in team fights?
I just had a game with 22/0, what I got was Deity (immortal streaks) and Executioner (most hero kills). Either these two awards are more important or
Veteran means something different, which seems more likely to me.
Best looking is from being the only one in the match with an alt avatar.
