    Improving as a player

So I played my first game in probably about a year and just completely lost whatever little skills I had since beta. I would like to improve my skills so I played a game and I came up with some things I need to work on:
    1. Last hitting
    2. Learn to farm and get my gpm higher because it was an embarrassment
    3. Positioning

Can someone help me with how I can get started on improving those three points and my match id was 89505973. Feel free to criticize and come up with other points on what I need to improve because I believe just about any comments besides "just quit" and other troll comments will help me at this point. I'll try to play more games in the next few days and post some more match IDs and I guess I'll go from there.
    Thanks.

avoid mmr games! you do not want to mess up ppls games and mmr, right?

=> go practice mode, go through some heroes you want to play and get a feeling for them. try melees with and without axe and stuff like that. practice last hitting, even add an enemy hero to make it a bit harder for you to last hit/deny by letting him auto attack. that should be ok for the start.

=> go nostats games and IGNORE EVERYBODY talking to you since it will most likely be flames and trolling. doesnt matter, work on your stuff to improve your play. why nostats?

=> watch honcast / VODs and Streams to learn from the pros (picking teams/combos, jukes, when to go for a fight and when not, when to farm and when to join teamfights and so on)

=> ask for a mentor in the training grounds or join the 'epoch project' (use search function here), there are lots of ppl willing to help new ppl or like in your case ppl who get back after a long break from the game.

Dont waste too much time on the forums or thinking about ****. go practice like a fu..ck..ing shaolin monk until you achieved what you WANT(ed) to achieve.

When you get stuck - stop playing for 1-2 weeks. this really helps (!!!)

I think you should apply to the project epoch clan. They have people that would be willing to help you regain your lost skills.

Go in the bathroom; turn off the lights; close your eyes; put your head down and say "get good" rinse and repeat for 1 week.

This right here, is the quote of the month.

Seriously though, you need to perfect your lasthitting capabilities, learning when to gank and when not (like if you're laning mid you should always push your lane at the 1:30 , 3:30, 5:30 etc so you can go grab the rune and gank) etc.

Also, watching both your replays and other peoples can make you inprove significantly.

I know the best thing for learning how to last hit...it is really boring but it helps A LOT...

so, basically you go into practice mode and pick a hero with bad attack animation and/or low damage....u buy no items, u get urself no levels and u just go to the lane...

i forgot the ratio but it's solid/good if u have arround 80 killed and 30-40 denied...(not sure on the ratio...long time since i did that)

after u think you mastered last hitting (like it's ever possible but u know what i mean) u can do ultimate challenge...

get that creepscore with maliken-> go into practice mode, pick maliken, give yourself level 7 and take lvl 4 green sword...u will have less damage than ranged creep and that is really really really hard...especially when 2 catapults come .D
