Yes, I agree and support this proposal.
No, I don't agree and don't support this proposal.
I don't really care about this proposal.
I will make it very simple by just including a shot first, here goes...
I've just edited the coins value for this example.
A lot of people, like myself, probably buy Gold Coins to make their purchase but also likes to use the 'hard earned' Silver Coins to get their new heroes (or whatever other thing you can buy with Silver). Now lets say I have 100 Gold Coins and 400 Silver Coins and I want to buy Chronos and Corrupted Discip le.
Case 1
Buy Chronos with Gold Coins: 100 Gold
Buy Corrupted Disciple with Silver Coins: 400 Silver
Balance after purchase: 0 Gold Coins, 0 Silver Coins
Case 2
Buy Corrupted Disciple with Gold Coins: 100 Gold
Buy Chronos with Silver Coins: 250 Silver
Balance after purchase: 0 Gold Coins, 150 Silver Coins
So, if one does not think twice (and smartly) before making a purchase in the store then most likely there is high chance that you are 'wasting' your silver/gold.
I think that I am going to echo the voice of so many people here by saying that there is a high need for Gold and Silver coins to be 'normalize' and have an obvious Gold to Silver ratio. Its understandable that item such as Limited Alt Avatar would cost higher in terms of Silver Coins (much higher Gold to Silver ratio) but in my opinion at loeast the 'basic' heroes and their alts should have a consistent Gold to Silver ratio. In some case, you have the feeling that "Hero X is better than Y" because one cost more silver coins than the other (while the gold price is the same).
Also, it takes away a bit of the feeling of achievement when buying your heroes with your hard earned Silver Coin. In my case, even though I have a consequent amount of Gold, I still like to make hero purchase with Silver Coins from time to time to feel like I've achieve something by buying those 275 Golds Heroes with Silver instead (those are actually the most disproportionate heroes in the basic heroes list).
To sum things up:
- Come up with only one Gold to Silver ratio for the heroes in the store.
- Possibly come up with only one Gold to Silver ratio for the Alt heroes in the store.
- Let the Limited Alt Avatars price (in Silver) to be disproportionate. (But still, 3000 Silver for an Alt... that's a bit too much in my opinion).
- Come up with only one Gold to Silver ratio for anything else in the store.
Thank you for taking notice and reading this thread, please do discuss or post to support this motion.

Check out my suggestion:

I know that a lot of the customization cost variances in HoN went to support the F2P model, however in games like League of Legends, the ability to get custom skins/etc is viable completely through long hours of gameplay. The amount of silver coins you get from playing matchmaking games is so small, and it takes so many to get anything worthwhile at all. Seeing things like 3,000 silver coins for a hero skin is rediculous.
For now, lets just stick to the Gold to Silver ratio in this thread. But yeah, I do agree that figure such as 3000 is just too much.
I see people keeps voting it up even though slowly... This post just gonna bump it up a bit then! And please guys, leave your thought and whatever you want after you vote, it helps keeping the thread on the first page.![]()
I'll upvote this...mostly because it makes sense. Which is something that is unfortunately all too rare these days.
I posted pretty much the same thread a week ago.

Well, your thread focus more on alt while this one is just asking for a better silver to gold ratio for mostly heroes and 'some' alts (mainly the older one) while maintaining the high ratio for luxury items which was just released (new alt).
Thank you nonetheless for your input about this thread. I've up voted yours because I am definitely FOR a slightly lower alt's silver price (and also maybe a lower gold price for the older alt...).
