    Map of Newerth, fan-made

    Hey there!

So, i've been doing this little map since a few days now and I feel that it looks decent enough to show it to you guys, on the map you'll find every location we know of so far that exists in Newerth, its not complete yet ( art,landmarks,settlements..etc ) but it should help any fiction writters atleast a little bit.

Feedback regarding layout and locations is appreciated, if you want to help out, feel free to do so!

    Full size :
    http://i48.tinypic.com/23j36tt.png
    (1200x1370)

    Sources:

    - Theres no full map of newerth released so far, apart from the small parts in sav2 cgi trailer, for whatever reason S2 don't want to show it yet.
    - Northern area drawn by Drasha's example found here: http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/sh...-Story-Contest
    - Capital city, known as Adkarna/City of light (?), and its surrounding areas are based off Savage 2 Cinematic trailer
    - Deadlock, Hellpeak, Crossroads, Eden, Bunker, Mirchul and hidden village taken from Savage games
    - Rulian marsh mentioned in Flint Beastwood lore and to some extent in Pollywogs backstory (?)
    - Western swamp mentioned in Thunder claw item lore
    - Shang-La home to Pandamonium
    - Blackwal mentioned in Salforis's backstory, now probably ravaged by the hellbourne
    - Arasunia is the city where Witch slayer hails from, mentioned in his backstory
    - Novarra is a dense jungle region where Watchtower is located, an old ruined observatory used by the aincents.
    - Seradati plains are home to Rampage, borders on the western savannah
    - savannah one of many beast species, also houses a contest or tourney for the beast horde each year, taken from Blitz backstory
    - Frostfields are mentioned in several backstories, home to the ice queen Eliona, Berzerker, valkyrie and Tundra.
    - Iron city home of the beard people, Master of Arms, Engineer and Blacksmith
    - Darkwood vale, Caldavar and Grimms crossing taken from HoN
    - The Great Waste, mentioned in Sand wraith's background story as well as the location where items called Scarabs can be found
    - Hidden village, home of many scouts and Sillohuette
    - Savage tribes are scattered all around legion's territory, southern tribes joined Grimm in his war against the beasts.
    - The scar, landmark that houses twisted shamans and witches responisble for Maliken's fall to insanity, ending up as a Hellbourne puppet.
    - Eocles from Ikearumba's stories
    - the shinny abbey, islands Marl and Iselta from Ckmo's stories

    Edit: updated map

This is quite beautiful. The layout I think is quite well done as you can see the gradual change of climate from the north to the southern lands (to the equator) as it should be.

Also, I was expecting Caldavar to be bigger (if not as big) than Darkwood Vale though.

Where's the marker for Grimm's Crossing?

Wow this looks absolutely beautiful! Great job!

Though the Scar should be perhaps a bit longer. In Drasha's version it was separating the whole continent which I thought was a pretty cool idea.

    Harbinger, Captain Alister, Orion
    Thanks!

Caldavar is separated by the river that runs through it, its somewhat the same size as Darkwood vale, though you're right, I'll resize them a bit to make it more apparent.
Forgot to add Grimm's crossing, its getting on the map when I update it, sorry :/
Also the word 'Frozen' above Edge derp.

I wanted the scar to look closer to the one thats shown in the trailer, it wasn't that big but neither was it small, I don't know, link me Drasha's post and I'll think about it. Having the scar separating the entire continent seems a bit extreme.

There you go. Taken from this thread.

But you're right I forgot about the savage trailer. The Scar should look like it was shown there.

My version of the map is just as valid as his but isn't half as beautiful. If you are going to place grimms crossing on your map i would put it on the edge of frostfield since its a snowy map.

I am currently working on a region version of the map with small area break downs like i have for frostfield.

The mountain ranges are a little more accurate on this one and caldavar isn't spanning the entire super content. Haven't penned in the great waste yet still deciding if it should be in south america or in the small area west of the central planes.

    Capital's name is Adkarna.

hidden somewhere between Adkarna and Arasunia is the Shining Abbey.

There are two major islands: the Marl and the Iselta. For the purposes of my lore I've placed them a lot closer to Arasunia on my internal mental map, haha, but feel free to place them anywhere you want.

"Scar" the place is kind of incorrect. There are many Scars located in the world of Newerth, but it would also be incorrect of me to also claim that there's no such place named Scar.

All in all, I loved this map. it's beautiful.

I'm thinking of putting Grimm's crossing west of Tundra and north of The scar or east of Blackwal, not sure though. And yeah, both maps are valid, that is until S2 comes up and releases their own, heh.

Looks good, both areas have their advantages to lore and placement wise, south america would slightly be better since its larger imo.

I was kinda undecided on the names of the capital, so I left as just ''Capital'', I've read that its Adkarna but in sav2 trailer its shown as the City of Light, but then again that might be another city altogether.
Don't know, you got a source for those Islands or the abbey? Theres plenty of space around the eastern parts, unless the islands have a non-tropical climate, I may put them in.

    As for the scar:
    1:28 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbs5dBg6YLo
''And yet in his moment of triumph, Maliken came upon a new and terrible land, known to few inhabitants simply as The Scar''

Its shown that there might be one great scar, bigger and maybe even have some people living around it, the ones that are scattered around newerth are smaller, sometimes having old ruins/shrines around them.

So where in the world is Carm... I mean the Mid Wars map. It seems to be a jungle location. The Rulian Marsh or Western Swamps are candidates if you ask me.

I have grimm's crossing mapped out on the northern part of the map where the 2 is located.

Not sure where strider places it but I assume it would be some where between the scar and the tundra on his map maybe a bit south so its near caldavar.

I made my own name for the capital as "Solaria" since jere's, ophelia's and martyr's skills and or lore mentioned Sol I would've thought their city would be name somewhat after him. :/...

While its possible the capital was named after sol I think they were more occupied with the though of man and less focused on Sol. (other wise they probably would have went of with the priests)

"The fifth and final disciple, a man of commanding stature and great wisdom, set his standard on the central plains of the human lands and vowed to build from his followers an army that would reclaim Newerth for Man and spread the worship of Sol to all corners of the world. "

Excellent work on the map. I shall be using it as a base reference for my Relationship Chart.

Mind if I use your map as a reference image in my thread? I'll be sure to put a direct link back here.
The sign of lost Carcosa appeared in the air, paralyzing us with dread older than the very idea of time.
As we looked on in horror, the unholy sign dissolved into a lone figure, shrouded in yellow.
