    Melee vs lord salforis mid

    Hey,

I want tips on how to win against a salfmid as melee.

    problems I face:

-he just stands there and deals damage, sure he pushes but that doesnt matter, he can easily towerdive, just stand next to you and even in the tower(tower is on creeps) nuke you down so you cant get any last hits even there.
-he will stand between you and the creeps, no way to pass him without taking massive damage in return

anyone know how to solve these 2 things?

inb4 axe, ye.. cause the chance on last hitting 1 creep every 30 secs is worth it if he gets free denies and lasthits.

Rampage usually wins against any mid hero. Jereziah would be decent if he chases you past tower, just stand, heal and he's back. With nomad, you won't win or lose, and you can get farm, since it would be impossible to die before 6. BH would win if the person playing knows how to deny and last hit.

Anyways, those are just a few I believe have a good chance, well, more like the only few I remember right now lol

I expect any minute now somebody is going to tell you "just don't mid melee against salf"

Just don't play against sal melee!!!

Dual lane mid against him if you see it coming. I like to pick zeph, and have a support just harass the hell out of him. Lock him down early game, he can't do nothing mid to late other than his ult. UNLESS you got a glacius, then he's just screwed.

Heroes like gauntlet/devo/pebbles can't get much farm, but you can possibly get a kill on Salforis by being smart. Hook/toss him to your tower, farm a creep wave or two and go ganking. Though, forewarning, Salforis completely shits on Devo otherwise since Salforis can just man up and come out way ahead.

But there's not many melee that can win in the sense of getting more cs.
I'll never forget what I felt that day...

I, want to be a Hero of Justice!

Take pharaoh or tundra against him. Grats easy win mid. Pharaoh gets soul=last hits and harrass. Tundra gets creeps= ranged hero.

Edit: I imagine tremble would do fine also

max mummy walls as pharaoh and just spam it whenever he gets in range; I don't know how effective that would actually be in terms of the overall game but I think it would be pretty damn annoying for him and funny electrician can rape him pretty badly as well. parasite and Cthulhu mid can out-deny him and win the lane that way.

Other than those, salforis wins or at worst ties with other melees (unless he's bad), it just depends on the skill levels of the players and who can last hit/deny and position/control the creepwave better.. but the bottom line is salf flat out beats most melees, pretty simple just don't plan going Melee mid vs salf

    edit:
just read post above me, yeah tundra can potentially do well vs salf as well, just you need to not be derp takes some microing to use coeurl effectively to win vs salf (not very easy).

As a melee you will have a hard time winning the mid lane. There are not many that will beat him mid. His passive dmg, hp reg and burst/heal is just immensly strong early / mid.

There have been some good recommendations so far. Best are probably elec. Thing with him is that you can rely a lot on shield + absorption to get some harass and last hitting going on, but even as elec you will struggle to actually kill salf.

Tundra can be somewhat strong since the slow from his pet is just as awesome as any form of kiting ever will be vs salf. Having his pet harassing Salf while you go in to snatch a last hit will often hurt him more than you if he decides to hit you at that time. Also, axes are rather awesome for creep clearing aswell.

Phara will be a good choise as long as you only focus on playing defencivly. Mummies will hold him off very efficiently, but you won't be able to rely on hellfire to kill him since his aura + life tap will just hurt way too much for you to be standing near him and win a stand off. Phara is also a good call since he is such an awesome ganker.

Panda is an interesting hero to have mid vs salf imo. I've seen panda just massivly own the crap out of salf, but I'm not so sure that would be the case in higher brackets. Flurry is awesome at netting some last hit's and in doing it he can't rly touch you. You also have a very good stun that can just aswell be used for escaping.

Pebb and Gaunt will have a quite hard time farming unless you want to waste good amounts of mana on doing so.

Just remember: Winning the lane can be achieved by ganking your sides a lot and and locking down their main carries. Salf may be a mean beast 1v1, but in a clash he's rather useless. Also remember to call 1 or 2 of you side lane mates to help you gank mid.
