but rather a "disable top and bot lane creeps/towers" mode

That checkbox doesnt work for more than a half a year now because S2 changed the way how they are sending newsletters.
I got confirmation about this directly from S2.
The only way how to receive newsletters to email now is creating new f2p account

It is entirely possible that it is the new competitive game mode that some people may have seen on Tralfamadore's stream already - and that mode wouldn't come with a new map.

HOW do I get in on this action?
Would I be right in guessing that I just join through the server list and the game will download the map as normal?

It is entirely possible that it is the new competitive game mode that some people may have seen on Tralfamadore's stream already - and that mode wouldn't come with a new map.

This, in the HoNclient when you press matchmaking you will see a "Step 3. Select Game Mode". Then you can select between ap, sd, bp, bd etcetc. My guess is that it's the new competitive lock picking mode
