A couple of times now I have laid the smackdown on my foes and then killed them but the smackdown does not go off. The most recent one was when I played devourer and killed thunderbringer, I was the only one attacking him and yet the smackdown did not go off, I have a friend who has had the same problem so I know it's not just me, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
